jmatrix | A uMatrix implementation/library for qutebrowser

kandi X-RAY | jmatrix Summary
jmatrix is a Python library. jmatrix has no bugs, it has no vulnerabilities, it has a Strong Copyleft License and it has low support. However jmatrix build file is not available. You can download it from GitLab.
jmatrix is a WIP [[library/implementation for qutebrowser. It operates on uMatrix style config files, to make switching easier. It tries to mirror uMatrix's behavior as close as possible. If you find a discrepancy that's not accounted for, please let me know. Here's a [[demo]]. If you are using jmatrix as an API, please see [[file:jmatrix/integrations/qutebrowser.py::def%20_jmatrix_intercept_request(info:%20interceptor.Request)%20->%20None:][the qutebrowser integration]] for an example on how to use everything. jmatrix reads from (or creates) a file at ~ /jmatrix-rules~, which is ~$HOME/.config/qutebrowser/jmatrix-rules~ on Linux. It accepts most of the [[rules syntax]]. After installing into qutebrowser, you will get a ~:jmatrix-read-config~ command to re-load the config on disk. Right now, all we do is block incoming requests. uMatrix does a bit more than this, such [[spoofing noscript tags when js is blocked]]. It also means we cannot block cookies (so those rules will be ignored). Right now, this is rather unoptimized, but latency added seems to be around 0.05 ms. I'm duplicating a lot of work at the moment, so this could be improved substantially.

Install jmatrix
You can download it from GitLab.
You can use jmatrix like any standard Python library. You will need to make sure that you have a development environment consisting of a Python distribution including header files, a compiler, pip, and git installed. Make sure that your pip, setuptools, and wheel are up to date. When using pip it is generally recommended to install packages in a virtual environment to avoid changes to the system.
