kandi X-RAY | cmdo Summary

cmdo is a Python library. cmdo has no bugs, it has no vulnerabilities, it has build file available, it has a Strong Copyleft License and it has low support. You can download it from GitHub.

Cmdo (pronounced "commando") is a tool that makes it easier to build other tools. It selectively exposes Python modules and functions as a complete command line interface. Specifically, Cmdo finds modules in standard locations, interprets command line arguments, invokes functions, imports modules on demand, and supplies help. It also manages documentation resources containing structured text. The current version only has built-in support for command line interfaces. Function writers are free to implement graphical interfaces. Future Cmdo releases may provide more help in this area. Since the engine understands a great deal about the the data handled by exported functions it could generate code for simple GUIs. See "INSTALL" or "install.html" for installation instructions. See "DEVELOPMENT" or "development.html" for guidance on building your own applications.

            Install cmdo

You can download it from GitHub.
You can use cmdo like any standard Python library. You will need to make sure that you have a development environment consisting of a Python distribution including header files, a compiler, pip, and git installed. Make sure that your pip, setuptools, and wheel are up to date. When using pip it is generally recommended to install packages in a virtual environment to avoid changes to the system.

            Support

This is the first Cmdo release. It is used every day, but by a very limited number of people. So I rely on your feedback to help improve quality and functionality. So please report problems (with as many details as you can provide), but also voice what would make this software more useful to you. Don't hesitate to ask, even if you have ideas that seem unrelated to the current feature set.
