I am trying to send an email after submitting a form, with the AUTO INCREMENT number attached to the email because the AUTO INCREMENT number is the clients Job Card Reference Number. So far i have successfully created the insert script which inserts the data into the database perfectly, and also sends the email too. But does not attach the AUTO INCREMENT number into the email. The INT(11) AUTO INCREMENT primary key is "job_number" in my MySQL database.

There are no guarantees that one goroutine will see the operations performed by another goroutine unless there is an explicit synchronization between the two using channels, mutex. etc.
In your example: the fact that a goroutines sees done=true does not imply it will see a set. This is only guaranteed if there is explicit synchronization between the goroutines.
The sync.Once probably offers such synchronization, so that's why you have not observed this behavior. There is still a memory race, and on a different platform with a different implementation of sync.Once, things may change.

I am working on an integration into an old API which for some reason returns the json data as a text/html response. I have tried to Deserialse this string using Newtonsoft in C# and also using various javascript libraries including JSON.parse() but all have failed.
The actual response looks like a valid json object but it fails to get deserialised:

I am taking it that there are some special characters or that the actual response is in a format that any of my parsers cannot not deserialise out the box. I have attached various code samples in various languages including curl. I would really appreciate if someone could help deserialise the response object in C# or point me in the right direction.

By default the identity pool will provide the IAM role that it's configured with. In other words, one of either the "unauthenticated role" or the "authenticated role" that it's set up with.
But it can be told instead to provide a role specified by the authentication provider. That's what will solve the problem here.
- In the AWS console, in Cognito, open the relevant identity pool.
- Click "Edit identity pool" (top right)
- Expand "Authentication Providers"
- Under Authenticated Role Selection, choose "Choose role from token".
That will allow Cognito to specify its own roles, and you will find that the users get the privileges of their group.
