            I am writing an alias that allows me to run spotify-tui right in the terminal, and load spotifyd if it isn't online. Here is my current script, all contained within one line:

            You need to wrap your command in quotes otherwise the semicolons are treated as terminations of the alias command and you get the syntax error.
