QUESTION
I am running the following in my React app and when I open the console in Chrome, it is printing the response.data[0] twice in the console. What is causing this?
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-16 at 02:48You have included fetching function in the component as it is, so it fires every time component being rendered. You better to include fetching data in useEffect hook just like this:

Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 12:30You have to provide both annotations as object in 1 array, not an array containing objects containing arrays, see example:
QUESTION
We are using stream ingestion from Event Hubs to Azure Data Explorer. The Documentation states the following:
The streaming ingestion operation completes in under 10 seconds, and your data is immediately available for query after completion.
I am also aware of the limitations such as
Streaming ingestion performance and capacity scales with increased VM and cluster sizes. The number of concurrent ingestion requests is limited to six per core. For example, for 16 core SKUs, such as D14 and L16, the maximal supported load is 96 concurrent ingestion requests. For two core SKUs, such as D11, the maximal supported load is 12 concurrent ingestion requests.
But we are currently experiencing ingestion latency of 5 minutes (as shown on the Azure Metrics) and see that data is actually available for quering 10 minutes after ingestion.
Our Dev Environment is the cheapest SKU Dev(No SLA)_Standard_D11_v2 but given that we only ingest ~5000 Events per day (per metric "Events Received") in this environment this latency is very high and not usable in the streaming scenario where we need to have the data available < 1 minute for queries.
Is this the latency we have to expect from the Dev Environment or are the any tweaks we can apply in order to achieve lower latency also in those environments? How will latency behave with a production environment loke Standard_D12_v2? Do we have to expect those high numbers there as well or is there a fundamental difference in behavior between Dev/test and Production Environments in this concern?
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 08:34Did you follow the two steps needed to enable the streaming ingestion for the specific table, i.e. enabling streaming ingestion on the cluster and on the table?
In general, this is not expected, the Dev/Test cluster should exhibit the same behavior as the production cluster with the expected limitations around the size and scale of the operations, if you test it with a few events and see the same latency it means that something is wrong.
If you did follow these steps, and it still does not work please open a support ticket.
QUESTION
working on SCSS transition I made two classes trigger and box and while hovering on trigger box should start moving and rotating.
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-14 at 02:49I added position: relative
to .trigger
and position: absolute
to the box. I didn't have your html so I took a guess at what it might look like. this solution seems to work at least in codepen (I viewed in Chrome and Firefox and both are working). I had to modify your scss to css in this example in order to tinker with it in codepen and post here.
QUESTION
I'd like to have a 2 column reveal.js slide where I can page through the slides in the left-hand column (ColA) while a video plays in the right-hand column (ColB). The slides accompany the video.
I have it laid out on this page but the contents in the iframe/ColA are not large enough to read. I've tried scaling it but it scales the entire containing div, making the two columns overlap, and does not just scale the contents of the iframe.
Another option is to do the slides like normal, where each slide contains a link to the embedded video. My worry there is that every one of the embedded videos will play at once once the page loads because it's a live stream - it seems like that might eat a lot of processing power as my computer tries to play the same embedded live stream in 30 different slides. When moving from Slide1 to Slide2, are embedded videos stopped?
The full git repo for this is here.
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-14 at 10:32I don't think the iframe will work very well for multiple reasons:
- The scaling problem that you already encountered. iframes are notoriously hard to scale, as the size has to be hardcoded when embedding them.
- The nested presentation will have its own navigation, so it wont be clear where to proceed with the presentation.
You also already anticipated teh next problem - when putting the same video on multiple slides indeed the video will "restart" - first the old video will fade out and then the new copy will fade in. This is because each slide is it's own self-contained HTML element. So this also won't do what you want.
Instead I would propose to use Fragments. Fragments are the way you can have individual elements on a page change without changing the whole slide (commonly used for making bullet points appear).
In your case you can implement your "sub slides" on the left side as individual fragments that appear on top of each other using the css classes fragment fade-in-then-out
(to make them appear/disappear) and r-stack
(to make them appear on top of each other). You can see an example on the "Layout" page in the documentation (the second one with cat pictures).
If you put all of your sub-slides as fragments, then you can just have your video embedded as normal on the right and it will play independently from the subslides changing. Once the last sub-slide is passed, the presentation will move on to the next real slide (stopping the video).
QUESTION
I've tried for the last few days without too much success to rotate, scale and translate shapes on the canvas. I've read everything I could find on internet about similar issues but still I cannot seem to be able to adapt it to my own problem.
If everything is drawn on the same scale, I can still drag and drop. If I rotate the shapes, then the mouseOver
is messed up since the world coordinates don't correspond anymore with the shape coordinates.
If I scale, then it's impossible to select any shape.
I look at my code and do not understand what I'm doing wrong.
I read some really nice and detailed stackoverflow solutions to similar problems.
For example, user @blindman67 made a suggestion of using a setTransform
helper and a getMouseLocal
helper for getting the coordinates of the mouse relative to the transformed shape.
I spent some time with that and could not fix my issue. Here is an example of what I tried. Any suggestion is appreciated.
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-14 at 02:31If I have time tomorrow I will try to implement the following to your code but I can provide you with a working example of how to get mouse collision precision on a rotated rectangle. I had the same struggle with this and finally found a good explanation and code that I was able to get to work. Check out this website
Now for my own implementation I did not use the method on that website to get my vertices. As you'll see in my code I have a function called updateCorners()
in my Square
class. I also have objects called this.tl.x
and this.tl.y
(for each corner).
The formulas are what I use to get vertices of a translated and rotated rectangle and the corner objects are what are used to determine collision. From there I used the distance()
function (Pythagorean theorem), the triangleArea()
function, and then the clickHit()
function which I renamed to collision()
and changed some things.
