            liberty:devc: not being honored
            Asked 2021-Jun-11 at 00:28

I observe that the element, though it points to a valid Dockerfile is not honored by liberty:devc.

Consider this output from mvn help:effective-pom:

SOLUTION: Use plugin-level configuration (not execution-level)

You need to add your configuration at the plugin level rather than the execution level.

So it should look more like:

Why is WLP installUtility not able obtain assets from feature repo?
            Asked 2021-May-07 at 12:30

I am running docker build with following Dockerfile, with main idea to use feature repo as described https://github.com/WASdev/ci.docker#installing-liberty-features-from-local-repository-19008:

Using different image (ibmcom/websphere-liberty:some21.0.0.3version) and pointing FEATURE_REPO_URL to place where 21.0.0.3 repo is hosted works.

So whoever prepared 19.0.0.3 image for me and said which feature repo to use, pointed me to some incompatible artefacts.

What is interesting, when I combined different versions of image vs repo, configure.sh was nicely verbose (it explained there is incompatibility), but this error CWWKF1259E: Unable to obtain the following assets is really unhelpful.

I'm trying to deploy a simple Spring + Spring Boot App to IBM Cloud using Cloud Foundry. My Docker file looks as follows:

For Lite accounts, memory is limited to 256 MB across all apps deployed for an account:

            https://cloud.ibm.com/docs/account?topic=account-noruntimemem

You will either need to stop any Cloud Foundry applications that are not in use or upgrade your account.

In Cloud Foundry, your manifest.yml in the application code will specify the memory.

Note: If you are using a Toolchain, the deployment will create a new application and switch routes on every redeployment in the pipeline, so temporarily you will have two applications running to avoid downtime. This is another scenario where you could potentially run into this memory problem (i.e. your application specifies 256MB of memory but temporarily there is 512MB of usage while both applications are running). To fix this, either manually stop the CF application that's running before running the pipeline (will incur downtime while stopped) or upgrade your account.

How to use Dockerfile with different name in OCP Git source build
            Asked 2020-Mar-31 at 03:28

I am trying to create a Git source build of this Dockerfile: https://github.com/WASdev/ci.docker/blob/master/ga/latest/full/Dockerfile.ubi.ibmjava8

I have the following configuration in my BuildConfig:

            Answered 2020-Mar-31 at 03:28

TL;DR: Yes. You will not be able to use a Dockerfile with a different name than Dockerfile

On Build Strategy Options on section Dockerfile Path you will find the constrains of OCP regarding the Docker Strategy:

By default, Docker builds use a Dockerfile (named Dockerfile) located at the root of the context specified in the BuildConfig.spec.source.contextDir field.

The dockerfilePath field allows the build to use a different path to locate your Dockerfile, relative to the BuildConfig.spec.source.contextDir field. It can be simply a different file name other than the default Dockerfile (for example, MyDockerfile), or a path to a Dockerfile in a subdirectory (for example, dockerfiles/app1/Dockerfile).

And they also use an expample:
