kandi X-RAY | autologin-on-boot Summary
Provides autologin and starting X-server on boot (once per boot). This means: For every boot, there is ONE autologin and ONE autostarted X-Server. For example, when X crashes, there is no X-restart-loop. To set the autologin user, simply execute /bin/autologin-on-boot (as root) and enter the username. To disable autologin, call autologin-on-boot again and leave the username blank. The username is stored in /etc/autologin-on-boot.conf. The name needs to be in the first(!) line. If the line is empty or the file is missing, autologin is disabled. If you wish to execute another application as "startx" or want to skip it, simply modify the file /etc/autologin-on-boot.profile and replace the line containing startx with an other command. autologin-on-boot works only with systemd (in the moment).

QUESTION
I am trying to understand various available AGL specific options that we can give in config.xml and I am referring to the link below
https://docs.automotivelinux.org/docs/en/halibut/apis_services/reference/af-main/2.2-config.xml.html
This is the sample config.xml file
...ANSWER
Answered 2020-Mar-06 at 09:48I figured out why we need this
required-api: param name="#target"
OPTIONAL(not compulsory)
It declares the name of the unit(in question it is main) requiring the listed apis. Only one instance of the param “#target” is allowed. When there is not instance of this param, it behave as if the target main was specified.
