What is meant by required-api: param name=”#target” in config.xml file of AGL widgets?

I am trying to understand various available AGL specific options that we can give in config.xml and I am referring to the link below

This is the sample config.xml file

I figured out why we need this

            required-api: param name="#target"

            OPTIONAL(not compulsory)

It declares the name of the unit(in question it is main) requiring the listed apis. Only one instance of the param “#target” is allowed. When there is not instance of this param, it behave as if the target main was specified.

            Install rport-pairing

Because the service does not store any data, there is nothing to stop you using the public and free service on https://pairing.rport.io. This public service is also the predefined default on all RPort server installations. To run the service on your server proceed as follows. Edit the config /etc/rport/rport-pairing.conf and start the service with systemctl start rport-pairing and enable the auto-start on boot with systemctl enable rport-pairing. It's strongly recommended running the pairing service behind a reverse proxy with encryption. Likely you want to run the RPort server and the pairing service on the same host with name based virtual hosts (SNI).
