kubectl versions Error: exec plugin is configured to use API version client.authentication.k8s.io/v1alpha1
            Asked 2022-Mar-28 at 09:41

I was setting up my new Mac for my eks environment. After the installation of kubectl, aws-iam-authenticator and the kubeconfig file placement in default location. I ran the command kubectl command and got this error mentioned below in command block.

My cluster uses v1alpha1 client auth api version so basically i wanted to use the same one in my Mac as well.

I tried with latest version (1.23.0) of kubectl as well, still the same error. Whereas When i tried to do with aws-iam-authenticator (version 0.5.5) I was not able to download lower version.

Can someone help me to resolve it?

            I have the same problem

You're using aws-iam-authenticator 0.5.5, AWS changed the way it behaves in 0.5.4 to require v1beta1.

It depends on your configuration, but you can try to change the K8s context you're using to v1beta1

Otherwise switch back to aws-iam-authenticator 0.5.3 - you might need to build it from source if you're using the M1 architecture as there's no darwin-arm64 binary built for it

I had a similar problem with another module.

The solution I found was to update both node (to v16) and npm (to v8).

For Node, I used brew (but nvm should be OK).

For npm, I used what the official doc says :

            npm install -g npm@latest

            1. Ensure your VSCode uses the arm64 version. (it can use a different go version from the system)

            2. Run Go: install/update tools. It will rebuild all tools with the arm64 go version.

NPM Error "Can't find Python executable" in MacOS Big Sur
            Asked 2022-Feb-02 at 13:09

I've been looking for the answer to this for a good solid week now, with no success. I've looked at every StackOverflow post, every article from Google and every related Github issue I could find. Most related errors seem to be older, so I'm wondering if my issue is slightly different due to me being on macOS Big Sur.

The issue: When I try to run yarn install in my local repo, I receive an error related to node-gyp and a python executable that is unable to be found. Here is what my terminal shows:

From the terminal messages, you are installing an old version of node-gyp (node-gyp@3.8.0). From a quick search, it seams that this version requires python 2. Python 2 should be present in Big Sur. Properly setting the path, should work:

            Answered 2021-Dec-16 at 20:33

x.iloc[0] selects a single "row". A new series object is actually created. When it decides on the dtype of that row, a pd.Series, it uses a floating point type, since that would not lose information in the "Nr" column.

On the other hand, x['Selected'].iloc[0] first selects a column, which will always preserve the dtype.

pandas is fundamentally "column oriented". You can think of a dataframe as a dictionary of columns (it isn't, although I believe it used to essentially have that under the hood, but now it uses a more complex "block manager" approach, but these are internal implementation details)

I think your pod install working fine and has done its job. You need to set up iPhone SDK on your mac then try to run cd ../ && react-native run-ios.
