I have Windows 10 Pro Version 21H1 Build 19043.1052. I have followed the guide in https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/wsl/install-win10#step-4---download-the-linux-kernel-update-package and in Win 10 WSL won't set default 2 to get wsl. And I want to upgrade to version 2. I installed the regular Ubuntu from the Microsoft app store. And I did wsl --setdefault Ubuntu followed by wsl --set-default-version 2 and it only gave me For information on key differences with WSL 2 please visit https://aka.ms/wsl2. But wsl -l -v was still showing VERSION 1.

So I went an installed Ubuntu-20.04 LTS and now that version is showing VERSION 2 but not the regular Ubuntu one.

How can I get them both to version 2?

I'm running boto with python3 and I'm running an ansible playbook to setup some ec2 instances. Everything is fine, creating instances, security groups, key pairs, everything in eu-west-2. When the task for Elastic IPs runs it fails with this message: Region eu-west-2 does not seem to be available for aws module boto.ec2. If the region definitely exists, you may need to upgrade boto or extend with endpoints_path

I'm running ansible with -e ansible_python_interpreter="/usr/bin/python3". I have latest boto installed.

I've upgraded to the M1 chip 2020 Macbook Air from a 7th gen. Intel chip pc. Overall, I'm very happy and content with it but when it comes to Android Studio performance, which I use quite often, it is very disappointing I'm sorry to say. When will an Apple Silicon compatible version be available? Are any of you guys have any clue?

EDIT: Thank you everyone! I have never upgraded to a newer version of .NET and language version before. Thus didn't know about .csproj configuration. Even though I did a research before posting a question I was not able to find a solution myself. So, I just leave these two links for further reference, perhaps this might help someone as well.

I've a simple VB.NET application to get all items on a Public Contact Folder. I know that this code works for many years. We upgraded on our OnPremise Exchange 2013 to CU23 for a few month and installed the Hafnium patches (BTW: Our server was not compromised and is not attached directly to the internet).

I am trying to contribute to a Github Page/Jekyll site and want to be able to visualise changes locally but when I run bundle exec jekyll serve but I get this output:

I wanted to upgrade a TYPO3v9 installation to TYPO3v10. After running through all the upgrade steps, I facing this issue "Page Not Found - The page did not exist or was inaccessible. Reason: The requested page does not exist". This error is thrown for every single pages in the installation.

My installation is multi-lingual with German as default and English as second language.

The most confusing part is that the same database runs fine with TYPO3 v9 source! Yes, to find the error, I have created 2 virtual TYPO3 websites in my local web server with one using TYPO3 v9 source and the other with TYPO3 v10 source. I also updates the "sites" configuration accordingly.

I also checked the Apache logs, but there is no trace of any error. So, it is entire TYPO3 v10 issue that I am unable to locate. The "Reports" section of TYPO3 v10 module is also of no help in this regard!

I do not know if anybody faced this kind of strange problem. It is really strange that a TYPO3 db runs great in version 9, but not in version 10.

Any suggestions will be of great help.

How to remove VIM (completely) and change my mac command line editor to sublime?

I've spent the last three hours reading the same links on "how to remove VIM" only to get "how to remove MacVIM and reinstall it fresh" Or "How to remove Vim so I can reinstall it on Ubuntu"

My old laptop was fortunate to have a friend remove it but my new machine still has it installed.

I wish VIM would die in "words redacted to excessive profanity" dumpster fire while a hobo "words redacted to excessive profanity" to put out the fire

I've lost way too many hours trying to learn that outdated neckbeard elvish piece of UX trash so I want it gone. No, I'm not touching emacs.

Please tell me there is a way I can switch to sublime or am I permanently cursed to have this confusing black screen of death pop up when I try to git push or git tag stuff?

My original goal was to tag a git and push it but vim comes up and I can't figure out how to speak elvish.

I've been using PyCharm for a few years and love the interface but I need to dig deeper and a TDD Django book for class uses the terminal, it wants me to git -a "comments" so I need your advice.

So now I can't learn TDD Django because vim, MacVim and eMacs users flood the internet but I can't remove it nor figure out how to work it.

I've tried brew uninstall macvim which doesn't work because I have vim not macvim

I also tried sudo uninstall vim no luck as this is zsh mac not ubuntu

I tried brew uninstall vim to get No available formula or cask with the name "vim"

I've searched SO five times and keep getting the same links. Alternates I've tried brew uninstall ruby vim
