Uncaught Error: Maximum update depth exceeded. This can happen when a component repeatedly calls setState inside componentWillUpdate or componentDidUpdate. React limits the number of nested updates to prevent infinite loops.

directly which causes a loop for that component re-rendering.

QUESTION
I downloaded a website template online and I didn't like the implementation to converted to TS and a next project so that it could easily be deployed to Vercel. However, when I put it in mobile mode on Chrome dev tools this happens: website picture
The entire website is pushed to the left half of the screen.
This is not a responsive issue because when I shrink the size on normal desktop view it works perfectly
I have tried setting HTML width to 100% and 100vh and every CSS trick in the book. I am convinced that it is an issue with server-side rendering because there are flashes where the website is rendering properly e.g. after a 500 error it works fine and then after I refresh the page it returns the half view.

QUESTION
Can anyone tell me what's incorrect here? I am trying to install the mui search bar component.
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Dec-26 at 09:55Issue seems to be related to peer dependency of material-ui-search-bar. Having a peer dependency means that your package needs a dependency that is the same exact dependency as the person installing your package.
As stated in the error posted by you. It needs react version ^16.8.0 or lower to run.
But in your project you have specified an bigger version of react - ^17.0.2.
What you can do is lower your react version. Then you should be able to install the said package without any issues.

I would like to control when an animation (Framer Motion) can run using window.innerWidth

ReferenceError: window is not defined
This is a simplified version of my component named ValuesSection.jsx:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jul-08 at 11:22Best way of using screen size in next.js projects is that you can instead use a Hook from materiial ui
that represents true or false when screen width is bigger or smaller than defined value and in my opinion it's better than the window
because it has a lot of options that you can use here is what you should do step by step
first install material ui if you didn't already

I am trying to change background video on scroll, using react-intersection-observer. When inView changes to true, useEffect must change state to sample2, and send new video to startscreen, where it's using as background video with position fixed. State is changing, but video is still the same.

QUESTION
I'm working on a react project and trying to animate and show the divs once they're in the view. I'm using the useInView hook from 'react-intersection-observer' to determine if the div is in the view and then start the animation to make the div visible.
However, this doesn't work fine when I have two divs in the same component i.e, as soon as the first div is in the view - animate and show the first div, and when you scroll further as soon as the second div is in the view - animate and show the second div.
Any help would be appreciated.

QUESTION
According to the code below, I need to call a function whenever inView
is true, but using useEffect
and useCallback
listing the dependencies, I cause an infinite loop. The only ways I managed to avoid it were without listing the dependencies, but I get a warning that I have to list them. I tried only with useEffect
, but the result is the same, listing the dependencies, I have a problem with the loops. Here is the code:
ANSWER
Answered 2020-Sep-28 at 20:23The most probable reason for your infinite loop is onEnterView. To make sure that is the cause, please show us where that function is created. What I think it happens (and I am 99.99% sure about it) is you create an arrow function in some parent (without wrapping it in useCallback). Calling onEnterView makes that parent re-render (you said you called dispatch) , which also mean the onEnterView function's reference will change. The result is you get a new onEnterView every time you call useLazyLoader hook, so the useCallback you have in place there is pretty much useless (you get a different dependency every time, so he recreates the useCallback result). To fix your problem, please wrap the onEnterView in useCallback where is defined, rather than where it is used.
QUESTION
I'm trying to use React Hooks in my HOC to pass an event to parent that says when this component is on Viewport, to lazy load this component data using React Intersection Observer, but I'm struggling with the following error: Type '(props: IStockProps) => JSX.Element | JSX.Element[]' is not assignable to type 'FC'.
I started recently with Typescript and I'm still getting on how to read these errors and sometimes can be a bit confusing. This are my code

...ANSWER
Answered 2020-Sep-24 at 18:33Well, the Typescript compiler is actually telling you what is wrong, but its understandable to not see when you just started using Typescript.
Issue lies in your Component, you return at the moment, JSX Element | JSXElement[] as the compiler says. React.FC must have valid "React Element" returned. If you change this:
