kandi X-RAY | CLeaR Summary

CLeaR is a C++ library typically used in Hardware, GPU, Pytorch applications. CLeaR has no bugs, it has no vulnerabilities and it has low support. You can download it from GitHub.

. CLeaR has been developed with a purpose to experiment how practical renderer can be written using OpenCL. In writing procedures regarding BSDF, I refered to PBRT-v2 considerably. For now, it looks like the same as logic used in CPU implementation, so it is not efficient implementation for current GPU architectures as of 2014 due to the massive usage of registers and control-flow divergence by conditional branches [1]. It uses BVH for the spatial partitioning structure. Parallel construction of Linear BVH [2, 3] on GPU is implemented in addition to simple midpoint splitting on CPU. Python creating a list of lists overrides but does not append
            Asked 2021-Jun-16 at 03:50

Folks, Basically what I am expecting is a list of lists based on the input comma separated numbers. As you can see I have 5,6 which means I need to create a 5 lists with 6 elements and each of the element in the lists will have to be multiplied by the index position. So what I need from the below input is [[0,0,0,0,0,0], [0,1,2,3,4,5], [0,2,4,6,8,10], [0,3,6,9,12,15],[0,4,8,12,16,20]]

            instead what I get is [[0, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20], [0, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20], [0, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20], [0, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20], [0, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20]]

not sure what I am doing wrong.. Can anyone please help?

How to sort google drive files by size in a spreadsheet?
            Asked 2021-Jun-16 at 02:55

I am using a script to recursively list all the files in a Google drive folder to a spreadsheet. It is working fine but i need to sort the file listing by size ( highest size on top ). Also drive api returns value of size in bytes but i need them in GB's . I haven't found any way to do it through api directly ,so i want to divide the size value of each file by 1073741824 upto 1 decimal rounding it off ( 1 GB = 1073741824 bytes )

            Modification points:
            • In your script, the values are put to the Spreadsheet using appendRow in the loops. In this case, the process cost will be high. Ref And also, in this case, after the values were put to the Spreadsheet, it is required to sort the sheet.
            • So, in this answer, I would like to propose the following flow.
              1. Retrieve the file list and put to an array.
              2. Sort the array by the file size.
              3. Put the array to the Spreadsheet.

When above points are reflected to your script, it becomes as follows.

            QUESTION

Does opening a file in a child process create a separate entry in the system open file table in the kernel?
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 23:17

I understand that after calling fork() the child process inherits the per-process file descriptor table of its parent (pointing to the same system-wide open file tables). Hence, when opening a file in a parent process and then calling fork(), both the child and parent can write to that file without overwriting one another's output (due to a shared offset in the open-file table entry).

However, suppose that, we call open() on some file after a fork (in both the parent and the child). Will this create a separate entries in the system-wide open file table, with a separate set of offsets and read-write permission flags for the child (despite the fact that it's technically the same file)? I've tried looking this up and I don't seem to be able to find a clear answer.

I'm asking this mainly since I was playing around with writing to files, and it seems like only one the outputs of the parent and child ends up in the file in the aforementioned situation. This seemed to imply that there are separate entries in the open file table for the two separate open calls, and hence separate offsets, so the slower process overwrites the output of the other process.

To illustrate this, consider the following code:

            Answered 2021-May-03 at 20:22

There is a difference between a file and a file descriptor (FD).

All processes share the same files. They don't necessarily have access to the same files, and a file is not its name, either; two different processes which open the same name might not actually open the same file, for example if the first file were renamed or unlinked and a new file were associated with the name. But if they do open the same file, it's necessarily shared, and changes will be mutually visible.

But a file descriptor is not a file. It refers to a file (not a filename, see above), but it also contains other information, including a file position used for and updated by calls to read and write. (You can use "positioned" read and write, pread and pwrite, if you don't want to use the position in the FD.) File descriptors are shared between parent and child processes, and so the file position in the FD is also shared.

Another thing stored in the file descriptor (in the kernel, where user processes can't get at it) is the list of permitted actions (on Unix, read, write, and/or execute, and possibly others). Permissions are stored in the file directory, not in the file itself, and the requested permissions are copied into the file descriptor when the file is opened (if the permissions are available.) It's possible for a child process to have a different user or group than the parent, particularly if the parent is started with augmented permissions but drops them before spawning the child. A file descriptor for a file opened in this manner still has the same permissions uf it is shared with a child, even if the child would itself be able to open the file.

I know this is not an informative and clear way to explain my issue, however; I don't know how to describe this issue since I have no expertise with colors so I would like to show you what I meant with images and code.

I think I misunderstood your issue. If your issue is that the image where you do not have lines has changed, then that is because you used a white background for scr2. The white then mixes with your image in the output. Make it scr2=img.copy() in place of what you have now. Then try your code. So in Python/OpenCV as a demonstration, using the Lena image as background, here is your code:

How to get rid of vertical hover gaps in a wrapped anchor tag?
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 20:57

When I hover over the anchor tag, it flickers. It's because there are vertical gaps between the lines of the wrapped anchor tag. Moreover, if I happen to click between the lines, the link doesn't activate. I would like to get rid of this flickering and vertical hover gaps that cause it. The rest of the layout including apparent line height and button position (on the same line as the last word of the anchor tag) should stay the same.

I was thinking about this for a couple of days with no luck. The best alternative I have is using inline-block on the anchor tag, but that clears the button to the next line, which wastes too much space.

            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 20:20

I've been attempting to create a node class which mimics a node on a graph. Currently, storage of the predecessor and successor nodes are stored via a node pointer vector: std::vector previous. The vectors for the predecessor/successor nodes are private variables and are accessible via setters/getters.

Currently, I am dealing with updating the pointer values when adding a new node. My current method to update the predecessor/successor nodes is through this method (the method is the same for successor/previous nodes, just name changes):
