Since upgrading to Spring Boot 2.6.X (in my case: 2.6.1), I have multiple projects that now have failing unit-tests on Windows that cannot start EmbeddedKafka, that do run with Linux

Known bug on the Apache Kafka side. Nothing to do from Spring perspective. See more info here: https://github.com/spring-projects/spring-kafka/discussions/2027. And here: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-13391

You need to wait until Apache Kafka 3.0.1 or don't use embedded Kafka and just rely on the Testcontainers, for example, or fully external Apache Kafka broker.

I suspect the Android emulator might be interfering with you here. I’ve seen issues with it misbehaving, particularly on Windows.

If you'd like to workaround, consider changing your server to use something other than Connection: close to terminate your response body. Perhaps chunked encoding or a content-length header.

How to fix SageMaker data-quality monitoring-schedule job that fails with 'FailureReason': 'Job inputs had no data'
            Asked 2022-Feb-26 at 04:38

I am trying to schedule a data-quality monitoring job in AWS SageMaker by following steps mentioned in this AWS documentation page. I have enabled data-capture for my endpoint. Then, trained a baseline on my training csv file and statistics and constraints are available in S3 like this:

            ...

            ANSWER

            Answered 2022-Feb-26 at 04:38

This happens, during the ground-truth-merge job, when the spark can't find any data either in '/opt/ml/processing/groundtruth/' or '/opt/ml/processing/input_data/' directories. And that can happen when either you haven't sent any requests to the sagemaker endpoint or there are no ground truths.

I got this error because, the folder /opt/ml/processing/input_data/ of the docker volume mapped to the monitoring container had no data to process. And that happened because, the thing that facilitates entire process, including fetching data couldn't find any in S3. and that happened because, there was an extra slash(/) in the directory to which endpoint's captured-data will be saved. to elaborate, while creating the endpoint, I had mentioned the directory as s3:////, while it should have just been s3:///. so, while the thing that copies data from S3 to docker volume tried to fetch data of that hour, the directory it tried to extract the data from was s3://////////(notice the two slashes). So, when I created the endpoint-configuration again with the slash removed in S3 directory, this error wasn't present and ground-truth-merge operation was successful as part of model-quality-monitoring.

I am answering this question because, someone read the question and upvoted it. meaning, someone else has faced this problem too. so, I have mentioned what worked for me. And I wrote this, so that StackExchange doesn't think I am spamming the forum with questions.

Background images in css are not getting cached
            Asked 2022-Feb-25 at 03:48

I have some react code that is rendering content dynamically via React.createElement. As such, css is applied via an object. Elements in that dynamic generation can have background image, pointing to a public aws S3 bucket.

It seems that every time my components re-render, the background images are being fetched again from S3. This is delaying the page render. I have S3 meta-data for Cache-Control set on all the objects . Here are request and response headers for background image load -

            ANSWER

            Answered 2022-Feb-23 at 20:53

The reason you're seeing a network request is probably because you're using the Cache-Control: no-cache header in your request.

            As seen here:

The no-cache response directive indicates that the response can be stored in caches, but the response must be validated with the origin server before each reuse, even when the cache is disconnected from the origin server.

            Cache-Control: no-cache

If you want caches to always check for content updates while reusing stored content, no-cache is the directive to use. It does this by requiring caches to revalidate each request with the origin server.

Note that no-cache does not mean "don't cache". no-cache allows caches to store a response but requires them to revalidate it before reuse. If the sense of "don't cache" that you want is actually "don't store", then no-store is the directive to use.

            See here: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Headers/Cache-Control#response_directives

Here is what a full request for a cached asset looks like on my network tab, when the asset returns 304 Not Modified from the validation request. (from S3) This is in a background: url context.

Azure Functions: Blob Storage emulator stopped working after moving to VS2022
            Asked 2022-Feb-02 at 14:51

I have one old Azure Functions project (v3). It contains several timer triggered functions. They stopped working on VS2022. You can see the logs below. If I create a new Functions project via VS2022, it will work fine. Looks like Azurite also starts up fine. Setting "AzureWebJobsStorage" equals "UseDevelopmentStorage=true". What can I do?

            ANSWER

            Answered 2022-Jan-06 at 12:33
            1. Created the Azure Functions v3 Project in Visual Studio 2019 along with the azurite extension to the project and running locally:

            2. Same Code opened in VS 2022 and run the function locally:

As given in the Microsoft Documentation, Azurite is automatically available with the VS 2022.

When you open the Azure Functions v3 project (earlier created in VS 2019) in VS 2022 now, it might show this messages in the output dialog box after loading the dependencies:

Still, the Azure Storage Emulator is required to run any azure functions project in the Windows, it needs to be installed in the system.

Make sure the Azure Storage Emulator is installed and the azurite is a future storage emulator platform included with VS 2022. If you're using earlier Visual Studio, you'll need to install Azurite by using either Node Package Manager, DockerHub, or by cloning the Azurite github repository given in the following documentation.

I have problems creating subsequent records with netsuite rest api using Token Based Authentication (TBA) oauth authentication. Here is my full code: https://gist.github.com/axilaris/428e63e5ff107d212fbcc07c5bdbce7a (it contains restlet, python code and the output of the python code).

The first record get created (you could see success) but the 2nd always get INVALID_LOGIN_ATTEMPT. If I remove creating the 2nd record, it will still be successful creating each time. But if I have in a process creating 2nd or more, its always the 2nd and more will have INVALID_LOGIN_ATTEMPT.

For this example, combination of nonce + timestamp was already used by the user. Make sure to generate unique nonce to every request.

Make sure to don't send the same request twice. (If the user need do the same operation, the user must generate a new TBA header).

Firebase phone auth failing on app already in production with status code 17028
            Asked 2021-Oct-18 at 08:05

We are using firebase phone authentication to authenticate our users. We've been using it for over a year now.

Today at 13:00 GMT, new users are receiving 17028 An invalid safety_net_token was passed after entering their phone number.

I tried to verify each of the causes I found on the firebase docs:

            1. Verifying the SHA1 and SHA256 on the firebase console (We use the fingerprints that are on the play store console)
            2. Verifying the package name

The last app update was on October 1st and since then thousands of users created an account with Firebase Auth and there were no configuration changes on the firebase console.

Upon looking at other StackOverflow questions, the error we are getting is not the same as 17028 A safety_net_token was passed, but no matching SHA-256 was registered in the Firebase console. Please make sure that this application's packageName/SHA256 pair is registered in the Firebase Console Even though it is the same error code, in our case, it says an invalid token was passed.

We are using firebase with react-native-firebase module.

EDIT: After disabling Android device verification API from Google Cloud Console the verification is now working but with no device verification. (Users have to verify they're not robots with a CAPTCHA).

Update: It is working fine now, and the outage has been fixed.

It looks to be a firebase internal issue, and the only solution now is to disable "Android Device Verification" and all your users will see the Recaptcha page.
