QUESTION
I have the wackiest bug. Like....the wackiest! If any of ya'll want to put eyes on this, awesomesauce! I really appriciate it! I am creating a survey with REACT, Redux, SQL, HML, Material-ui, and CSS.
I've created a graph of information with am4charts using data from a database. Everything is working and will show up on the page......but not on page load. What I am seeing in my console is that the page will load, it fires off my get request but doesn't return with the data fast enough (I think). By the time that the get request loads, my graph has populated with no data.
Here is the code that I have for the page that I am rendering. What is really odd is that, once my code has run, I can cut a line of code (I've been using a console log). And then the graph will render and load.

QUESTION
I am trying to have a number of columns with exact widths, and their heights split evenly between some number of elements. For some reason, despite my indicating an exact 200px
width on each column, they are instead getting a computed width of 162px
somehow. Chrome dev tools is showing some weird arrow thing indicating that it it was shrunk from it's intended size for some reason. I've even tried removing all of the content from the div's as possible so as to rule out some weird interaction with the size of children.
The html for the relevant area is this:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 20:20Setting display: flex
turns the sizing of child elements over to the flex container. If you don't want the individual elements to resize, set flex-grow: 0
, flex-shrink: 0
, and flex-basis: 200px
. You can do all three using the flex
shorthand:

QUESTION
I have some local packages hosted on my own machine, I would like to include a copy of them in distribution of other packages that depends on them. When installing a local package, pip freeze
shows something like
ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 16:11I managed to do it with source distributions and overriding sdist
and egg_info
commands to make setuptools bundle local dependencies together with package and to make pip search dependencies in that bundle when installing the built package later. But later I figured out it makes system vulnerable to dependency confusion attacks because local packages installed from that bundle are visible with pip freeze
, if for some reason the dependency location, like local-package @ file:///home/user/packages/local-package.tar.gz
is stripped to just local-package
pip will search it on pypi, which allows dependency confusion to happen.
The best solution for this problem is to vendor all local dependencies where their source code is copied to the package, pip itself vendors its dependencies using vendoring.
QUESTION
I am trying to use my own train step in with Keras by creating a class that inherits from Model. It seems that the training works correctly but the evaluate function always returns 0 on the loss even if I send to it the train data, which have a big loss value during the training. I can't share my code but was able to reproduce using the example form the Keras api in https://keras.io/guides/customizing_what_happens_in_fit/ I changed the Dense layer to have 2 units instead of one, and made its activation to sigmoid.
The code:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-12 at 17:27As you manually use the loss and metrics function in the train_step
(not in the .compile
) for the training set, you should also do the same for the validation set or by defining the test_step
in the custom model in order to get the loss score and metrics score. Add the following function to your custom model.
