Please enable the quarkus-smallrye-jwt TRACE logging to see why the tokens are rejected. And indeed, as you have also found out, https protocol needs to be enabled in the native image, which can be done, as you have shown :-), by adding --enable-url-protocols=https to the native profile's properties in pom.xml.

This PR will ensure adding it manually won't be required.

CSS :after or :before reading dynamic values from HTML. No JS. Pure CSS
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 00:43

Hello and thank you for reading this.

First off, I have to say that I can't use JavaScript. I am not aloud to any code that needs 'upkeep' because we run hundreds of sites for hundreds of clients in-house clients. Any code that needs maintenance is highly discouraged. I've tried to push back and it's not working. I don't have the power.

With that said, I have a client that would like to have icons to represent topics and when you roll over the icon, there is an overlay over said icon with the text saying what the topic is.

For example, if there is the topic 'Fruit' there would be a photo representation of a fruit (say, a banana). When the mouse rolls over the banana pic, an overlay would appear with the word fruit in the middle.

This isn't about the overlay or the icon.

What I would like to know is if I can read read the topic name in and have that displayed in the :after pseudo element.

In pretend code, this is what I'm tryin to do:

PowerQuery formula to check if COG is in bouding Box
            Asked 2021-Jun-14 at 14:04

I am trying to define in which box the cog of the object is. For example i have a item with COG (1.2, 1.5, 0.3) (x, y, z) and a list of boxes:

            Number of Box Z low Z high Y left Y right X front X aft 1 0 3 -5 0 5 0 2 0 3 0 5 5 0

In this example the item is in box 2. My solution now is with a Sumifs, Checking for each border if the COG is lower/higher then the value of the border, which works as there are no overlaps of the boxes.

Most of the data is loaded with powerquery but I cannot make this sumifs statement work in powerquery, I have to load the data to excel and add the sumifs statements, which will not work if I want to load it in Power BI. Otherwise I have to open excel, refresh there and let the calculation run, save, open PBI and refresh there as well.

Is there an option to make this statement with sumifs or other solution only using Power BI?

asynchronus content in two-column reveal.js presentation
            Asked 2021-Jun-14 at 10:32

I'd like to have a 2 column reveal.js slide where I can page through the slides in the left-hand column (ColA) while a video plays in the right-hand column (ColB). The slides accompany the video.

I have it laid out on this page but the contents in the iframe/ColA are not large enough to read. I've tried scaling it but it scales the entire containing div, making the two columns overlap, and does not just scale the contents of the iframe.

Another option is to do the slides like normal, where each slide contains a link to the embedded video. My worry there is that every one of the embedded videos will play at once once the page loads because it's a live stream - it seems like that might eat a lot of processing power as my computer tries to play the same embedded live stream in 30 different slides. When moving from Slide1 to Slide2, are embedded videos stopped?

The full git repo for this is here.

            ...

            ANSWER

            Answered 2021-Jun-14 at 10:32

I don't think the iframe will work very well for multiple reasons:

            • The scaling problem that you already encountered. iframes are notoriously hard to scale, as the size has to be hardcoded when embedding them.
            • The nested presentation will have its own navigation, so it wont be clear where to proceed with the presentation.

You also already anticipated teh next problem - when putting the same video on multiple slides indeed the video will "restart" - first the old video will fade out and then the new copy will fade in. This is because each slide is it's own self-contained HTML element. So this also won't do what you want.

Instead I would propose to use Fragments. Fragments are the way you can have individual elements on a page change without changing the whole slide (commonly used for making bullet points appear).

In your case you can implement your "sub slides" on the left side as individual fragments that appear on top of each other using the css classes fragment fade-in-then-out (to make them appear/disappear) and r-stack (to make them appear on top of each other). You can see an example on the "Layout" page in the documentation (the second one with cat pictures).

If you put all of your sub-slides as fragments, then you can just have your video embedded as normal on the right and it will play independently from the subslides changing. Once the last sub-slide is passed, the presentation will move on to the next real slide (stopping the video).

            ANSWER

            Answered 2021-Jun-14 at 04:25

The code uses anchor tag elements so as to have a focusable element within the li elements.

The problem with this, alongside the empty href attribute, is that it focuses (so we see the sub menu) but then immediately moves to the link (which is empty) and unfocuses. So we see a flash of the sub menu then it disappears.

So what can we do to put a focusable element into the li element?

            MDN has this advice:

onclick events Anchor elements are often abused as fake buttons by setting their href to # or javascript:void(0) to prevent the page from refreshing, then listening for their click events .

These bogus href values cause unexpected behavior when copying/dragging links, opening links in a new tab/window, bookmarking, or when JavaScript is loading, errors, or is disabled. They also convey incorrect semantics to assistive technologies, like screen readers.

Use a button instead. In general, you should only use a hyperlink for navigation to a real URL.

So this snippet uses the code given in the question, changing the a elements for buttons, and removing the background-color and border from the button styling.
