SSIS package fails to process all rows with C# Script task when started with SQL Server Agent
            Asked 2022-Mar-07 at 16:58

I have a requirement to build a SSIS package that sends HTML formatted emails and then saves the emails as tiff files. I have created a script task that processes the necessary records and then coverts the HTML code to the tiff. I have split the process into separate packages, the email send works fine the converting HTML to tiff is causing the issue.

When running the package manually it will process all files without any issues. my test currently is about 315 files this needs to be able to process at least 1,000 when finished with the ability to send up to 10,000 at one time. The problem is when I set the package to execute using SQL Server Agent it stops at 207 files. The package is deployed to SQL Server 2019 in the SSIS Catalog

What I have tried so far

I started with the script being placed in a SSIS package and deployed to the server and calling the package from a step (works 99.999999% of the time with all packages) tried both 32 and 64 bit runtime. Never any error messages just Unexpected Termination when looking at the execution reports. When clicking in the catalog and executing package it will process all the files. The SQL Server Agent is using a proxy and I also created another proxy account with my admin credentials to test for any issues with the account.

Created another package to call the package and used the Execute Package Task to call the first package, same result 207 files. Changed the execute Process task to an Execute SQL Task and tried the script that is created to manually start a package in the catalog 207 files. Tried executing the script from the command line both through the other SSIS package and the SQL Server Agent directly same results 207 files. If I try any of those methods directly outside SQL Server Agent the process runs no issues.

I converted the script task to a console application and it works processing all the files. When calling the executable file from any method from the SQL Server Agent it once again stops at the 207 files.

I have consulted with the companies DBA and Systems teams and they have not found anything that could be causing this error. There seems to be some type of limit that no matter the method of execution SQL Server Agent will not allow. I have mentioned looking at third-party applications but have been told no.

I have included the code below that I have been able to piece together. I am a SQL developer so C# is outside my knowledge base. Is there a way to optimize the code so it only uses one thread or does a cleanup between each letter. There may be a need for this to create over ten thousand letters at certain times.

            Update

I have replaced the code with the new updated code. The email and image creation are all included as this is what the final product must do. When sending the emails there is a primary and secondary email address and depending on what email address is used it will change what the body of the email contains. When looking at the code there is a section of try catch that sends to primary when indicated to and if that fails it send to secondary instead. I am guessing there is a much cleaner way of doing that section but this is my first program as I work in SQL for everything else.

Thank You for all the suggestions and help.

I have resolved the issue so it meets the needs of my project. There is probably a better solution but this does work. Using the code above I created an executable file and limited the result set to top 100. Created a ssis package with a For Loop that does a record count from the staging table and kicks off the executable file. I performed several tests and was able to exceed the 10,000 limit that was a requirement to the project.

            Asked 2022-Jan-15 at 21:02

I'm quite new using Kedro and after installing kedro in my conda environment, I'm getting the following error when trying to list my catalog:

            Command performed: kedro catalog list

            Error:

kedro.io.core.DataSetError: An exception occurred when parsing config for DataSet df_medinfo_raw: Object ParquetDataSet cannot be loaded from kedro.extras.datasets.pandas. Please see the documentation on how to install relevant dependencies for kedro.extras.datasets.pandas.ParquetDataSet:

I installed kedro trough conda-forge: conda install -c conda-forge "kedro[pandas]". As far as I understand, this way to install kedro also installs the pandas dependencies.

I tried to read the kedro documentation for dependencies, but it's not really clear how to solve this kind of issue.

            My kedro version is 0.17.6.

You can do calculations within a function for the x and y values to construct the ggplot which extends the circle all the way round and gives labels correct heights.

I've adapted a function to work with other datasets. This takes a dataset in a tidy format, with:

            • a 'year' column
            • one row per 'event'
            • a grouping variable (such as country)

I've used Nobel laurate data from here as an example dataset to show the function in practice. Data setup:

React-Native: How to mark part of a picture, using coordinates and Image zoom?
            Asked 2021-Dec-27 at 12:07

I just started learning React-Native, I have such a problem in my current project. I am receiving Car part image from API, this image is png format, each part number is numbered in the picture, I also getting coordinates (coordinates(x,y), width, height) of each number. My aim is to give border and border color each number inside part picture The problem is that these coordinates are calculated on a full-sized image, and do not match the image on mobile devices. Also the problem arises when enlarging the image, the existing coordinates are almost useless. I will accept any offer which will give me the right point, Thanks

I want to achieve same result, but I have no idea how they are solving this problem into an existing project: link here

Detecting the codec doesn't necessarily detect whether the system can support Dolby Atmos

            Correct.

What reliable way is there to detect if your system will truly support Dolby Atmos whether its with a receiver or a Dolby Atmos compliant sound bar.

Unfortunately, this undetectable from the browser.

The browser itself and even the OS doesn't always know what is downstream. Sorry for the bad news!

Package built by Poetry is missing runtime dependencies
            Asked 2021-Nov-04 at 02:15

I've been working on a project which so far has just involved building some cloud infrastructure, and now I'm trying to add a CLI to simplify running some AWS Lambdas. Unfortunately both the sdist and wheel packages built using poetry build don't seem to include the dependencies, so I have to manually pip install all of them to run the command. Basically I

            1. run poetry build in the project,
            2. cd "$(mktemp --directory)",
            3. python -m venv .venv,
            4. . .venv/bin/activate,
            5. pip install /path/to/result/of/poetry/build/above, and then
            6. run the new .venv/bin/ executable.

At this point the executable fails, because pip did not install any of the package dependencies. If I pip show PACKAGE the Requires line is empty.

The Poetry manual doesn't seem to specify how to link dependencies to the built package, so what do I have to do instead?

I am using some optional dependencies, could that be interfering with the build process? To be clear, even non-optional dependencies do not show up in the package dependencies.

I have been reading the official guide here (https://www.tensorflow.org/text/tutorials/transformer) to try and recreate the Vanilla Transformer in Tensorflow. I notice the dataset used is quite specific, and at the end of the guide, it says to try with a different dataset.

But that is where I have been stuck for a long time! I am trying to use the WMT14 dataset (as used in the original paper, Vaswani et. al.) here: https://www.tensorflow.org/datasets/catalog/wmt14_translate#wmt14_translatede-en .

I have also tried Multi30k and IWSLT dataset from Spacy, but are there any guides on how I can fit the dataset to what the model requires? Specifically, to tokenize it. The official TF guide uses a pretrained tokenizer, which is specific to the PR-EN dataset given.

You can build your own tokenizer following this tutorial https://www.tensorflow.org/text/guide/subwords_tokenizer

It is the exact same way they build the ted_hrlr_translate_pt_en_converter tokenizer in the transformers example, you just need to adjust it to your language.

Snowflake - how to read metadata from parquet files in S3
            Asked 2021-Oct-02 at 23:13

We are using external tables in our Snowflake database, in order to read data from some AWS S3 buckets. The buckets contain various parquet files, spread over multiple partitions.

We are able to read the data from our external table by using Snowflake's stages, storage integrations and file formats.

However, we'd like to read some metadata from the parquet files as well, such as the precision of numeric data types (e.g., to find out how many decimal places we have to deal with).

To keep it simple, let's say we're reading data from one single parquet file.

Is there any way to retrieve metadata from that parquet file as to the precision of numeric data types, directly from Snowflake?

Or would you rather extract that metadata from, let's say, Glue Catalog or any other external tool?

You can use catalog like any standard Java library. Please include the the jar files in your classpath. You can also use any IDE and you can run and debug the catalog component as you would do with any other Java program. Best practice is to use a build tool that supports dependency management such as Maven or Gradle. For Maven installation, please refer maven.apache.org. For Gradle installation, please refer gradle.org .
