I am puzzled to solve this com.fasterxml.jackson.dataformat.xml.XmlMapper error with Java 11. I want to use XmlMapper only from jackson dependency and that's why excluded from springboot starter web , still cannot figure how to resolve it's dependency. providing as much details as possible -

Problem
jackson-dataformat-xml:2.12.2 is not compatible with jackson dependencies 2.11.4. Spring Boot overwrites Jackson dependencies that are not specified other way in dependencies block or in dependencyManagement.
Solution
If you don't need 2.12.2 then just define the jackson-dataformat-xml as following:

Recently one of the libraries in my project was released and one of changes was migration of buildscript to Gradle 6. So compile became implementation and so on. This means that I cannot access previously defined dependency because gradle does not use when compiling my project:

You can use newrelic-api like any standard Java library. Please include the the jar files in your classpath. You can also use any IDE and you can run and debug the newrelic-api component as you would do with any other Java program. Best practice is to use a build tool that supports dependency management such as Maven or Gradle. For Maven installation, please refer maven.apache.org. For Gradle installation, please refer gradle.org .
