            QUESTION

What is meant by required-api: param name=”#target” in config.xml file of AGL widgets?
            Asked 2020-Mar-06 at 09:53

I am trying to understand various available AGL specific options that we can give in config.xml and I am referring to the link below

            https://docs.automotivelinux.org/docs/en/halibut/apis_services/reference/af-main/2.2-config.xml.html

This is the sample config.xml file

I figured out why we need this

            required-api: param name="#target"

            OPTIONAL(not compulsory)

It declares the name of the unit(in question it is main) requiring the listed apis. Only one instance of the param “#target” is allowed. When there is not instance of this param, it behave as if the target main was specified.

            Install lobbster

These instructions are for getting a development version of the project running locally. Beyond these setup instructions, you will also need access to a running MongoDB instance.
            Clone the repository.
Install dependencies by running the install-dev script from the root project directory.
Create a dev-keys.js file in the config directory. It should be just like prod-keys.js, but with your values in place of the process.env ones. You will need: A URI for accessing a development-specific MongoDB instance. A secret for express-session to use. A secret key from Stripe.
Create a .env.development file in the client directory. It should create your Stripe publishable key's environment variable as follows. For deployment, you'll need to create a similar .env.production file.
Launch the project locally by calling the dev script from the root project directory.
Grant administrator status to your first administrator account by manually setting an account's MongoDB isAdmin field to true. Administrator accounts can grant administrator status to other accounts via User Account Management.
