Javascript parameters are always passed by value. You can change properties of the value you pass in, and those changes will be visible to the calling method. But if you change the parameter to point to a different reference, that change will not be visible to the calling method.

How to refactor all subfunction to make only one?
            Asked 2020-Sep-28 at 20:04

I am a beginner at React.js. Trying to optimize my code (a simple Calculator on reactjs). I have many subfunctions for handle some operations like add new Number, or choose Operation (+, -) and etc. How to refactor them, to make only one function to handle all operations in one place?

            code from App.js

One simple approach would be to create a new function that wraps all your other functions within it. The new function takes in a parameter (string perhaps) that defines the type of operation that you wish to do (e.g. "add", "equal", etc). Then use a javascript switch/case statement to trigger which of your functions to use and return the results.

Let me illustrate it with an example using your code..
