kandi X-RAY | vsts-react-native-tasks Summary
React Native is an exciting new technology that allows you to bring awesome native app experiences to Android and iOS using a consistent developer experience based on JavaScript and React. Visual Studio Team Services (formerly Visual Studio Online) and Team Foundation Services (TFS) 2015 can be used to building and test React Native apps in a Continuous Integration (CI) environment thanks to a new cross-platform agent that supports OSX and Linux. When you are developing your React Native app you'll be able to take advantage of the React Native packager but in a CI environment or for actual app deployments you'll want to create an offline "bundle" that present a few challenges that need to be resolved.

Only thing it returns is errors:

QUESTION
I'm building an app where I have a page which gives information about a specific trading card. I want the page to be scrollable, but I also want to have a grid on the page, with each grid cell showing one data point. I made the grid using GridView.count().
My problem is that instead of have a page which I can scroll through, the top half of the page stays static, while the grid is scrollable. How do I make the grid static, while the rest of the page scrollable? I intend to have more data below this grid as well, and I want to user to be able to scroll to see all of it, with the grid being a static component of the page.
Here's my code:
...ANSWER
Answered 2022-Feb-06 at 09:47You can provide physics: NeverScrollableScrollPhysics()
on GridView
to disable scroll effect. If you want scrollable as secondary widget use primary: false,
To have Full Page scrollable, you can use body:SingleChildScrollView(..)
or better using body:CustomScrollView(..)
QUESTION
I am posting this question to help future readers. After upgrading to Flutter 2.8
I suddenly got this error when trying to run my app:
ANSWER
Answered 2021-Dec-26 at 14:20Turns out this error was caused by a popular library I used (settings_ui
) that does not work with this version of Flutter (settings_ui: ^1.0.0
).
For future readers: Use a later version of this package. There is currently an open issue on github that addresses this.
Update 2022: Dev on settings_ui seems to have gone AWOL and no longer merging PR's the community has forked this project to: https://pub.dev/packages/flutter_settings_ui and here updates are properly merged and a fix has been released in version 1.0.1
For people facing this issue now:
As a monkey patch you can follow the steps in the GitHub issue and edit the package files locally:
In cupertino_settings_item.dart
change final ListTileTheme tileTheme = ListTileTheme.of(context);
to final tileTheme = ListTileTheme.of(context);
And change _iconColor(ThemeData theme, ListTileTheme tileTheme)
to _iconColor(ThemeData theme, ListTileThemeData tileTheme)
.

QUESTION
I am fairly new to the Firemonkey framework after working with VCL for many years so hopefully this question is not too simple.
I am listing Dynamic Listview Items which I update from a database. I have created the position/layout of the text within the Listview Item using design mode . My question is when I change screen orientation from portrait to landscape do I have to manually change the 'X' position of the text items located within my listview and their width so that the full landscape width of the screen is utilized? There appears to be no anchors for dynamically created Listview items. (The text items just have their generic names for the time being.)
I have a pic below of what I am trying to describe. First pic shows deign mode in portrait and second in landscape.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Answered 2021-Dec-22 at 23:30The Accessory
, Detail
and Text
items have an Align
property that can take values Center
, Leading
or Trailing
. They are recalculated and adjust their position with changes in the screen orientation.
Additionally some items have a separate property, TextAlign
, which sets the position for a text within the space of the Align
result.

QUESTION
I have a mobile application developed using Ionic. Now I want to redevelop it in flutter and publish a new update, would that be possible? will google play and AppStore allow that?
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Dec-17 at 19:07There is no constraint on development language. But,
- You need to use same certificates/keys for iOS App
- You need to use same key-store/keys for Android App
- If you are using local database or file storage, then you should follow the same path in your newly created app as well. If you are using any third-party library to manage the db or file paths, then it may be in different location altogether. (This one actually happened to me. When I migrated my app from a cross-platform framework to Native the database path got changed in release version)

Install vsts-react-native-tasks
After installing the extension, upload your project to VSTS, TFS, or GitHub.
Go to your VSTS or TFS project, click on the Build tab, and create a new build definition (the "+" icon). You can use the Empty template.
Click Add build step... and add the following tasks to your build definition: Add npm from the Package category. Specify install as the Command, --no-optional under Advanced > Arguments to speed up the build, and set Advanced > Working Directory to the location of your package.json file if not in the repository root. You may need to add --force if you encounter EPERM issues due to a npm bug. Add React Native Prepare from the Build category and select the appropriate platform. Set Working Directory to the location of your package.json file and update the Xcode Project(s) or react.gradle Path option if your React Native project structure is not in the repisotry root. Add Xcode Build for iOS or Gradle for Android from the Build category and configure your native build. Check out the tool tips for handy inline documentation along with the Xcode and secure app signing tutorials for more details.
[Optional] While typically not required for React Native 0.19.0 and up, you can also add the React Native Bundle task from the Build category to create your offline bundle if you've modified the default generated projects.
curl also needs to be in the path on Windows if Node.js < 4.0.0 is globally installed. You can get curl by installing the Git Command Line Tools.
Acquire and setup the appropriate version of Node.js for use in the build. This is particularly useful in environments you may not control.
Disable the React Native Packager from starting as a server when building iOS as this provides no value in a CI workflow and will hang the agent and can result in port conflict issues failing the build.
Android: It modifies react.gradle to call node node_modules/react-native/local-cli/cli.js using the correct version of Node.js instead of just blindly calling "react-native bundle". This solves both the node version problem and avoids having to have react-native-cli installed globally.
iOS: For iOS, two changes were required: It modifies the Bundle React Native code and images Build Phase in your Xcode project ensure export NODE_BINARY is set to the correct path for Node.js before calling ../node_modules/react-native/packager/react-native-xcode.sh. If the export is missing it is added. It disables the startup of the React Native Packager as a local server in the Build Phases of node_modules/react-native/React.xcodeproj by modifying the embedded shell script to exit as this provides no value in a CI workflow and will hang the agent.
