React News is a small hands-on project that was built toying with React hooks ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Here you can try it out. So, essentially it is the Hacker News replica, with my ~~obsessive~~ own concoction within UI, though 🤏 There are some pleasant features like password reset, full-text search, cursor-based pagination and comments. As the front-end it uses React library for JavaScript. Since this app is kind of an attempt to probe into React Hooks feature, you won't see any class-components. Also was used some other React features such as Context API and Suspense, Router. Back-end lies on Firebase by Google. Implemented full CRUD functionality with Firestore Realtime Database and used serverless Firebase Functions User login / register is carried out with Firebase Authentication (here - password & email). Axios take care of requests, and date-fns is in charge of showing us nice-formatted date . Oh, and evidently there is neither styling library nor UI framework. Just some pure css . This project was bootstrapped with Create React App.
