Your immediate issue is that T: GarbageBin<'a, 'b> where 'a and 'b are parameters of create_bin_with_rubbish and must therefore outlive calls to that function—but the actual lifetimes passed to T::new are only internal to the function and do not therefore satisfy those bounds.

Instead of parameterising create_bin_with_rubbish with lifetimes 'a and 'b, one way to resolve this would be to use instead an HRTB (higher-ranked trait bound):

Can a function take both IntoIterator and IntoIterator<&T>?
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 12:28

I want a function that takes two arguments, both of which can be turned into an iterator of Foo. The snag is that I'd like to accept things which are both IntoIterator and also IntoIterator<&Foo>. Importantly Foo is Copy so I can cheaply create an owned copy from it's reference.

The solution I currently have is:

First of all, you don't need exactly IntoIterator bound here. It's just enough for Iterator.

You can refer the pricing model here. Is there any other alternative for local/offline development using AWS ElastiCache for Redis?

Elasticache is just hosted Redis; you don't need anything special for development, just a local copy of Redis (in a container if you'd like).

I could not click licence agreement 'Accept' button in Hololens 2 Emulator
            Asked 2021-Jun-14 at 18:48

I just launched the emulator App by double clicking it. It loaded (loading time is 10 to 15 min) with an audio to accept Microsoft licence agreement and login with current Microsoft id. It shows the licence agreement window as shown in below image:

            Hololens Emulator Licence Agreement

I could not click the Accept button. So I could not proceed further. I used alt+mouse drag to bring the hand, but either the hand does not appear or sometimes even if it appears and moves, no raycast to point on the button. I tried toggling the Use mouse, use keyboard for simulation check boxes.

Thanks Hernando - MSFT for helping me. The Accept button in the Licence agreemnet window can be clicked by moving back and forth the hand using W,A,S,D keys.

Previously i thought that i should click using a raycast pointer. It would be nice if i can click using raycast because the current approach is very difficult for any new users.

Additionally, sometimes mouse and keyboard inputs doesn't worked for me. This is because the 'Use Mouse' and 'Use Keyboard' check-boxes under the Simulation Panel is disabled. We have to ensure they are enabled for using mouse and keyboard for simulation inputs.

CQRS being an architectural pattern, you can most definitely do CQRS in vanilla Spring Boot. It might require you to break up the read side and write side in separately deployed services and manually arrange to keep them eventually consistent.

Do we still need Morphia for Java?
            Asked 2021-Jun-14 at 03:41

For my project I use Morphia, for easily mapping POJO objects to the Mongodb database. But in 2018 the mongo java driver started supporting pojo mapping it self and the Morphia project was abandoned by the Mongodb team. The Morphia community edition has now deprecated the DAO and I wonder, why not write my own DAO class based on the Mongodb driver directly? So my question:

Do we still need Morphia when using Mongodb and Java? And what benefits does Morphia bring over using the Mongodb Java driver directly?

            ...

            ANSWER

            Answered 2021-Jun-14 at 03:41

I'm the morphia dev so there's some bias here but i'll try to be fair. when i first started building the pojo support in to the driver (i used to work for mongodb) my goal was to build as close to an ODM as possible in the driver so that morphia, such as it was, would only need to be a thin veneer on the driver. Some of my plans never came to fruition as I left the company mid-effort. That said, it came pretty close.

I know of several projects that are happily using the pojo codecs. If they fit your needs, then I would suggest to just go with that. For my own perspective, I think morphia offers a fair bit that the driver doesn't (to my knowledge.) Morphia supports annotation driven index and document validation definitions, and collection caps, e.g. It's a bit more powerful and forgiving in mapping. e.g., morphia can map non-String keyed Maps as fields and I don't think the driver supports. Morphia supports lifecycle events but the driver does not and last I checked it seemed like Morphia's generics support had a slight edge. (Granted that edge is probably an extreme edge case that most won't run in to. It's been a while so the details are fuzzy.)

There are a few other features that Morphia has that the driver doesn't (transparent reference support, e.g.) and some features I have planned that the driver will never support (build-time generated codecs to eliminate most/all reflection at runtime, e.g.).

So do we still need Morphia? It depends on what you want to do. I plan on working on Morphia until no one needs it, though. :)

Your request to set a new variable is odd, and probably not the right solution to whatever problem you're trying to solve.

That being said, you can use setattr to set the value based on the name of a variable. That variable doesn't have to exist. For example, to set the variable self.edition to 1 you can do setattr(self, "edition", 1).

Therefore, you can pass in the string name of the variable to your whichButton function, and use setattr to set a variable with that name.

It would look something like this:
