kandi X-RAY | visible Summary

visible is a JavaScript library typically used in Plugin applications. visible has no bugs, it has no vulnerabilities, it has a Permissive License and it has low support. You can install using 'npm i ember-cli-visible' or download it from GitHub, npm.

This is an ember-cli addon that helps you deal with whether or not your application is currently visible to the user or not. For instance, whether the user is on another tab or has blurred the browser entirely. Just install in your app, and then controllers and routes can access the two main ways of interacting with this plugin: this.visible.now (boolean) and this.visible.state (string repsonse). E.g. You can also use this.visible.state to get the current state of visibility. Either visible, hidden, blur, or init (rarely).

why does var behave differently in a with statement depending on whether or not the passed object has a property with the same name?

The difference in behaviour can be accounted for by this behaviour, described in (for instance) the following note in ECMAScript 2022 Language Specification sect 14.3.2.1:

NOTE: If a VariableDeclaration is nested within a with statement and the BindingIdentifier in the VariableDeclaration is the same as a property name of the binding object of the with statement's object Environment Record, then step 5 will assign value to the property instead of assigning to the VariableEnvironment binding of the Identifier.

            In the first case:

Both Swing and JavaFX are single-threaded UI toolkits, and each has their own thread for rendering the UI and processing user events. Modifying Swing components and creating Swing windows (e.g. JFrames) must be done on the AWT event dispatch thread. Modifying JavaFX components must be done on the FX Application Thread.

Thus when you're working with both toolkits together, you have to be careful to delegate the appropriate actions to the appropriate threads. The Javadocs for JFXPanel have more details.

Here's a complete example which includes a slight re-working of your code and shows how to move the different parts of the code to the appropriate thread:

MVVM WPF - How to update DataGrid bound to ObservableCollection
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 17:35
            What I'm trying to do:

I have a WPF app, linked to a SQL-server. I am using the MVVM-light package (I do actually have Prism.Core installed, but I'm not sure if I'm using it or not.... new to MVVM).

There's a DataGrid, bound to an ObservableCollection. I have been trying to implement the PropertyChangedEventHandler, but I can't seem to get it to work.

I have a Delete button bound, and I am able to remove rows, but when I re-open the form, the changes does not carry over.

I tried to change the binding-mode for the DataGrid from OneWay to TwoWay. With OneWay, the changes does not carry over when I re-open the form. With TwoWay, I get this error message when opening the child form (which contains the DataGrid):

System.InvalidOperationException: 'A TwoWay or OneWayToSource binding cannot work on the read->only property 'licenseHolders' of type 'Ridel.Hub.ViewModel.LicenseHoldersViewModel'.'

So, If I then add a set; to my public ObservableCollection licenseHolders { get; }, the program runs, but the previous problem persists, like it did when there was a OneWay mode configuration on the DataGrid.

What do I need to do to get this to work without communicating directly with the Sql-server, which would defy the whole point of using this methodology in the first place?

You are confusing topics. The VM needs InotifyPropertyChanged events, which you have but are not using, to notify the Xaml in the front-end that a VMs property has changed and to bind to the new data reference.

This is needed for Lists or ObservableCollections. Once that is done, the ObservableCollection will then send notifications on changes to the list as items are added or removed.

QtTest under PyQt5 fails when widgets-under-test have to be visible to work
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 17:01

I've started to create UI tests for my PyQt5 widgets using QtTest but have run into the following difficulties:

            • In order to speed up things, some of my widgets only perform operations when visible. As it seems that QtTest runs with invisible widgets, the corresponding tests fail.

            • For the same reason, I cannot test program logic that makes a subwidget visible under certain conditions.

Is there a way to make widgets visible during test? Is this good practice (e.g. w.r.t. CI test on GitHub) and is QtTest the way to go?

I have tried to use pytest with pytest-qt without success as I couldn't find a proper introduction or tutorial and I do know "Test PyQt GUIs with QTest and unittest".

Below you find a MWE consisting of a widget mwe_qt_widget.MyWidget with a combobox, a pushbutton and a label that gets updated by the other two subwidgets:

The problem is simple: QWidgets are hidden by default so isVisible() will return false, the solution is to invoke the show() method in init() to make it visible:

When you're stuck on a problem, it never hurts to go back and consult the documentation.

            You'll find information like this:

A border layout lays out a container, arranging and resizing its components to fit in five regions: north, south, east, west, and center. Each region may contain no more than one component, and is identified by a corresponding constant: NORTH, SOUTH, EAST, WEST, and CENTER. When adding a component to a container with a border layout, use one of these five constants...

Best practice to remembering List State after navigation to another Composable using Jetpack Compose Navigation
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 14:10

When navigating from Composable A -> Composable B, say Composable A is a Lazy List scrolled halfway down and Composable B is a Lazy List Item Details Screen. Currently, the lazy list scroll position isn't stored, and when navigating back to Composable A from B, the list starts from item index 0. We could store it in a ViewModel, and read the value back, as well as use rememberSaveable, however, I am unsure as to how to implement rememberSaveable so that it scrolls to the saved position after back navigation.

Which method would be preferred to use following good code practices?

Edit: My problem arises from the fact that the listState isn't stored when navigating back from composable B to A. So if we scroll to the bottom and select an item and look at its details, when we navigate back to the list it is scrolled to the top, instead of saving its scrollState.

I'm leaving this question up in case anyone else ever gets stuck in my situation, but the code works as it is meant to, I just committed a folly.

I didn't account for height changes with asynchronous image loading and as such, the list would not be at its saved position upon composable navigation, due to the list state being smaller than the screen height on returning to the composable.

However, If the images were given static containers to load into to that don't change their size, then upon back navigation, the composable would correctly display the saved list state.

But, when you go via the NavigationDrawer to another fragment and get back to the chat fragment using again this Navigation Drawer. When you add one element in the chat it appears all in the blank it just displays the last message. Anybody knows why does this happens?
