QUESTION
I need help debugging Webpack's Compression Plugin.
SUMMARY OF PROBLEM
- Goal is to enable asset compression and reduce my app's bundle size. Using the Brotli algorithm as the default, and gzip as a fallback for unsupported browsers.
- I expected a content-encoding field within an asset's Response Headers. Instead, they're loaded without the field. I used the Chrome dev tools' network tab to confirm this. For context, see the following snippet:
- No errors show in my browser or IDE when running locally.
WHAT I TRIED
- Using different implementations for the compression plugin. See below list of approaches:
- (With Webpack Chain API)
ANSWER
Answered 2021-Sep-30 at 14:59It's not clear which server is serving up these assets. If it's Express, looking at the screenshot with the header X-Powered-By
, https://github.com/expressjs/compression/issues/71 shows that Brotli support hasn't been added to Express yet.
There might be a way to just specify the header for content-encoding
manually though.
QUESTION
I've created a new React app by running npx create-react-app@latest --typescript .
and I've run the project using npm start
and it all works as expected. I ran npm install semantic-ui-react semantic-ui-css
and that installs correctly.
But when I add import 'semantic-ui-css/semantic.min.css';
to index.tsx
as instructed, I get a failed to compile error
.
Here's my index.tsx
file:
ANSWER
Answered 2021-Dec-15 at 21:37Judging from this issue:
CSS import breaks webpack 5 compilation
I believe this is an issue with Semantic-UI-React and Webpack 5 (which is used by Create-React-App).
The final answer in that issue is a suggestion to switch to Fomantic-UI 😅
This should be reported into the upstream repo: https://github.com/Semantic-Org/Semantic-UI. The problem is that it's dead 🙄 Reasonable solution is to switch to https://github.com/fomantic/Fomantic-UI.

QUESTION
I've built my React Native app and tested and troubleshooted with my iOS devices for months. Now I'm trying to built and test the app on Android for the first time. The thing is, that I keep getting errors trying to run the Android-version of my app. After hours of debugging and troubleshooting, I tried to create a new RN project and see if that could run on my emulator and device. I got that part working and then I wanted to copy/paste the files of my existing app project into the new project.
I pasted my existing assets, styles, the source JS-files and the package.json file into the new project, ran npm install
and then I ended up with the exact same error message as I had in the original project when I run react-native run-android
.
The full error message is here:

Answered 2021-Aug-21 at 13:43I've hit this same issue and have temporarily resolved it by uninstalling react-native-video (npm uninstall --save react-native-video). That's not a great answer as I need that component, but I don't have a full solution yet. I think somehow com.yqritc:android-scalablevideoview:1.0.4. is required by react-native-video but has gotten lost or removed. Other thoughts are welcome.
UPDATE: Resolved! In your build.gradle in your Android folder you need to add the repository "jcenter()" in allprojects (not in build dependencies) like this...
QUESTION
I am building a landing page that has a logo and then a sign in and login button below it. I used a box decoration to specify the background color because I am very particular about the gradient scheme. However, I realize it may have some kind of "absolute" effect on my container widget because I can't seem to change the colors of the buttons within the widget. I am new to flutter UI and I am probably layering the widgets incorrectly, but any help would be greatly appreciated! Here's the code for the landing page:

QUESTION
I have read few stackoverflow posts about "Looking up a deactivated widget's ancestor is unsafe" error but couldn't find an answer which work.
I've tried to set a global key with the scaffold, and to use WidgetsBinding.instance.addPostFrameCallback() without success.
I'm pretty sure I'm doing something stupid and easy to fix, but I can't figure out what.
This is a simple version of the code which replicates the error when you go back from PhotoViewPage (photo_view package) :

I'm working on getting a new Rails 7 project deployed to production (trying on both Heroku and Render.com) and am getting the following error during build:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Dec-18 at 05:58From rails tailwind readme
Tailwind uses modern CSS features that are not recognized by the sassc-rails extension that was included by default in the Gemfile for Rails 6. In order to avoid any errors like SassC::SyntaxError, you must remove that gem from your Gemfile.

I am facing an issue while upgrading my project from angular 8.2.1 to angular 13 version.
After a successful upgrade while preparing a build it is giving me the following error.

Answered 2021-Dec-14 at 12:45Just remove the "extractCss": true
from your production environment, it will resolve the problem.
The reason about it is extractCss is deprecated, and it's value is true by default. See more here: Extracting CSS into JS with Angular 11 (deprecated extractCss)

QUESTION
I am new to flutter and recently tried to develop a test app for learning sake with latest version Flutter 2.5. By looking at some tutorial online, I have added flutter_native_splash: ^1.2.3
package for splash screen. And works fine.
However, when I launch app for the first time, it shows following debug message
W/FlutterActivityAndFragmentDelegate(18569): A splash screen was provided to Flutter, but this is deprecated. See flutter.dev/go/android-splash-migration for migration steps.
After visiting the above link, I am not able to understand much what is supposed to be done.

file.
Previously, Android Flutter apps would either set
io.flutter.embedding.android.SplashScreenDrawable
in their application manifest, or implementprovideSplashScreen
within their Flutter Activity. This would be shown momentarily in between the time after the Android launch screen is shown and when Flutter has drawn the first frame. This is no longer needed and is deprecated – Flutter now automatically keeps the Android launch screen displayed until Flutter has drawn the first frame. Developers should instead remove the usage of these APIs. - source
As per the flutter 2.8.0 update, The newly created project doesn't have this warning.
They removed unused API from Androidmanifest.yml
but still have belove mentioned code.

PHP requires the Visual C runtime (CRT). The Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2019 is suitable for all these PHP versions, see visualstudio.microsoft.com. You MUST download the x86 CRT for PHP x86 builds and the x64 CRT for PHP x64 builds. The CRT installer supports the /quiet and /norestart command-line switches, so you can also script it.
