Swift - Video file array save to app gallery fine but not properly to the app document directory
            Asked 2018-Sep-20 at 07:21

I am trying to save an array of videos using a for loop to the document directory and gallery but the document directory is only saving the last video whereas the gallery has all of them saved without issues.

Any ideas how can this be fixed? Thanks for the input!

Swift - Grab all the files from a specific folder/remote URL on a server
            Asked 2018-Aug-30 at 02:43

I am trying to access a specific folder in a remote URL e.g.http://dev.servertest.com/sessions/id/video

from there, I want to grab all the videos from the folder and download them to the device.

I know how to download the videos from a remote URL to the directory but I can't work out to grab all the videos from the specific video folder.

Also, the server may change depending on the user using their own server but the rest of the structure should be the same "/sessions/id/video"

Below is the code I use to upload from a specific folder "ImportVideos" from my app directory if that helps.

The HTTP protocol does not provide any means of getting a list of files in a directory. What you're trying to do is not generally possible without a manifest — a list of files that you want to download.

The easiest way to do that is to run a script on the server, e.g.

Spring batch stop the ItemReader running when app starts
            Asked 2018-Jul-14 at 22:08

I'm using Spring Batch to run jobs which are triggered from a controller method. Everything works fine except when the application first boots the ItemReader runs and reads through everything.

Is this expected behaviour? It's not really a big deal it just slows down the boot time by a good 500 seconds.

Note: The job itself isn't running as I've disabled that via

Figured out my issue, the problem was my custom reader implementation was also implementing InitializingBean where it was calling what was effectively 'getVideos()'.

Removing the InitializingBean interface stopped the reader running on each boot.
