How to Config Javascript ' script in Django?
            Asked 2021-Jun-16 at 02:47

I built an app using Django 3.2.3., but when I try to settup my javascript code for the HTML, it doesn't work. I have read this post Django Static Files Development and follow the instructions, but it doesn't resolve my issue.

Also I couldn't find TEMPLATE_CONTEXT_PROCESSORS, according to this post no TEMPLATE_CONTEXT_PROCESSORS in django, from 1.7 Django and later, TEMPLATE_CONTEXT_PROCESSORS is the same as TEMPLATE to config django.core.context_processors.static but when I paste that code, turns in error saying django.core.context_processors.static doesn't exist.

I don't have idea why my javascript' script isn't working.

Run ‘python manage.py collectstatic’ and try again.

The way you handle static wrong, remove the static dirs in your INSTALLED_APPS out of STATIC_DIRS and set a STATIC_ROOT then collectstatic again.

How to create a working VHDX in Azure CI Build Pipeline?
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 14:26

This question is related to Azure MSIX Build and Package task only has Release and Debug configurations

We have a WinForms project that has an MSIX installer. Manually, we can successfully create

            1. An MSIXBUNDLE and deploy it to Kudu
            2. An MSIX and deploy it to an Azure VM through a VHDX. We have manually convert the MSIX to a VHDX first

We are now trying to automate the build and release process to create the VHDX. However, we are getting a blank screen when the VHDX is mounted using a process that we have already validated. The only thing different is the build method (i.e., MSBuild versus VS Publish).

How do we create a working VHDX in Azure CI Build Pipeline?

            Below is the YAML.

            Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 14:26

Actually, there is nothing wrong with the YAML. The problem was a delay in the virtual machine loading the VHDX. In other words, wait about 5 minutes once the VHDX is mounted before trying to run the application. I am leaving this here in case anyone else runs into this issue.

AWS S3 lambda function doesn't trigger when upload large file
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 11:35

I have 2 buckets on the S3 service. I have a lambda function "create-thumbnail" that triggered when an object is created into an original bucket, if it is an image, then resize it and upload it into the resized bucket.

Everything is working fine, but the function doesn't trigger when I upload files more than 4MB on the original bucket.

            Function configurations are as follow,

            • Timeout Limit: 2mins
            • Memory 10240
            • Trigger Event type: ObjectCreated (that covers create, put, post, copy and multipart upload complete)
            ...

            ANSWER

            Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 11:35

Instead of using the lambda function, I have used some packages on the server and resize the file accordingly and then upload those files on the S3 bucket. I know this is not a solution to this question, but that's the only solution I found

            1. This version already has a built-in jager tracer, see the documentation.
            2. In order for the events to be nested, it is necessary to transfer the context inside the actions, use ctx.call calls instead of broker.call, so they will be nested.

C# MVC Core 5 Site throws encoding error when trying to open a connection to Azure SQL DB
            Asked 2021-Jun-14 at 16:09

As stated above. Under IIS Express on VS2019 I have no issues. When opening the site after deployment to Azure I get:

"The character encoding of the plain text document was not declared. The document will render with garbled text in some browser configurations if the document contains characters from outside the US-ASCII range. The character encoding of the file needs to be declared in the transfer protocol or file needs to use a byte order mark as an encoding signature."

I initially tried adding every permutation of I found to no avail. Eventually I tracked the error down (by removing lines of code until the error no longer appeared) to firing when I tried to open a SqlConnection.

Sql server needs to set firewall policy be default, so I assume that after deploying app to azure web app, ip address must change and may lead to some error.

@Destroigo here met the firewall problem. Congratulations to solve it :)

How to connect to IBM MQ deployed to OpenShift?

I have a container with IBM MQ (Docker image ibmcom/mq/9.2.2.0-r1) exposing two ports (9443 - admin, 1414 - application).

All required setup in OpenShift is done (Pod, Service, Routes).

There are two routes, one for each port.

Admin console is accessible through the first route, hence, MQ is up and running.

I tried to connect as a client (JMS 2.0, com.ibm.mq.allclient:9.2.2.0) using standard approach:

I'm not sure to fully understand your setup, but"Routes"only route HTTP traffic (On ports 80 or 443 onyl), not TCP traffic.
If you want to access your MQ server from outside the cluster, there are a few solutions, one is to create a service of type: "NodePort"

Use IO when creating Xmonad configuration (keymap depends on number of connected monitors)
            Asked 2021-Jun-14 at 10:51

I'm trying to set up different Xmonad key mappings depending on the number of connected monitors. The reason is that I use the same Xmonad config file on multiple systems (desktops, a laptop with different monitor configurations including 3 displays). Displays are listed in a different order on different systems, that's why I need to hardcode display indices when using a 3 monitor setup.

My current best try is something like that (everything that is not relevant has been removed):

not too familiar with Xmonad but you can easily do the following I guess. create a pure function mkConfig which takes the number of screens and returns the desired key mapping. Then, in your main pass it to xmonad function. I haven't tried to compile any of this but probably you can modify it easily

where is Azure DevOps build artifact stored
            Asked 2021-Jun-14 at 04:32

I am attempting to create a CI pipeline for a WCF project. I got the CI to successfully run but cannot determine where to look for the artifact. My intent is to have the CI pipeline publish this artifact in Azure and then have the CD pipeline run transformations on config files. Ultimately, we want to take that output and store it in blob storage (that will probably be another post since the WCF site is for an API).

I also realize that I really do not want to zip the artifact since I will need to transform it anyway.

            Here are my questions:

            1. Where is the container that the artifact 'drop' is published to?
            2. How would I publish the site to the container without making it a single file.

You will find your artifacts here:

You got single file because you have in VSBuild /p:PackageAsSingleFile=true

Also you may consider using a newer task Publish Pipeline Artifact. If not please check DownloadBuildArtifacts task here
