Error when converting string to integer when values are numbers in Pandas data frame
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 23:03

I have a column with the datatype 'object', but it actually contains numbers (408, 415, 510) with no missing values. I want to convert this to integer with the code below, but I get the error: invalid literal for int() with base 10: 'A415' (I added the first line of code after reading other posts, but I get the same error even if I drop the first line of code).

            Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 23:03

Looks like there is a "A415" value in your column. Could be a typo?

You can check if this is the case by getting a list of the unique values in this pandas column, like below. This is a quick way of knowing if all values look alright.

Div with absolute width is smaller than specified
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 20:37

I am trying to have a number of columns with exact widths, and their heights split evenly between some number of elements. For some reason, despite my indicating an exact 200px width on each column, they are instead getting a computed width of 162px somehow. Chrome dev tools is showing some weird arrow thing indicating that it it was shrunk from it's intended size for some reason. I've even tried removing all of the content from the div's as possible so as to rule out some weird interaction with the size of children.

The html for the relevant area is this:

Setting display: flex turns the sizing of child elements over to the flex container. If you don't want the individual elements to resize, set flex-grow: 0, flex-shrink: 0, and flex-basis: 200px. You can do all three using the flex shorthand:

Add work item field to only one board in a project in Azure DevOps
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 20:13

There are multiple development teams in an area of the organization that work closely together. Each has its own Azure DevOps board under the same Azure DevOps project. All boards inherit from the same Azure DevOps process.

One team would like to add a field to a work item type, but only show that field on their board. The field would not appear on the same work item type on the other teams' boards.

Is this possible? Microsoft has good documentation for Azure DevOps but I can't find anything that speaks to this, and I can't accomplish it myself in the UI. Thank you for any insights.

            Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 20:13

If you add a new field to a work item type of some team project, this field will be available for all project teams.

Each team can customize the card view on each board (backlog or sprint): Add fields to cards, Customize fields

Additionally, you can use process rules to hide fields (Hide or restrict modification of a field based on a user or group) as Matt mentioned. You can find each team as a group [Team Project]\Team Name in the conditions section.

Change the colour of a specific area of a picture onclick
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 18:27

I am a beginner learning from a tutorial on how to change the colour of a selected area of a picture with a range of colour options.

I can figure out how to change one area, but unsure how to implement the other areas.

What I want to achieve is to click on the selected area, it highlights the border (CSS), then change the colour by using the colour options.

What is the best way to implement this? I'm I correct in thinking maybe a switch statement with onclick to select the specific area of the picture?

            ANSWER

            Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 11:48

You could try having a "select" function run when you click on one of the areas. This function would "highlight" the area (border-color), and save the id of the area in a variable.

Then when you click on the color swatches another function would run that will take the value previously saved id and select the HTML element based on that.

How can I use paste0() to access a column from a reactive expression that returns a data frame in r?
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 15:12

I have the following piece of code in a shiny app. My goal is to generate the choices for the "cutFamily2" selectInput widget based on what the user chose for the "machine2" selectInput.

If I use corte2() instead of eval(paste0("corte",2)) on the observerEvent the app runs properly. The problem is that I want to use the paste0() because the integer "2" in eval(paste0("corte",2)) will be an argument of a function (function(data,n)) so I can easily generate corte1, corte2 and so on.

When I run it using eval(paste0("corte",2)) I am getting the "error in $: $ operator is invalid for atomic vectors" and the app won't even run. I tried to use enframe() to convert it to a tibble, then the app runs, but I get a "Unknown or uninitialised column: CutFamily" error and the SelectInput choices will be empty. I also tried [[ instead, but nothing.

Any ideas on how to solve the problem?

Time Calculation over days in Google Sheets to tabulate availability
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 14:04

            Overview

I am trying to tabulate time over days under Google Sheets and see each person's availability based on their start and end times which changes almost every week.

File Information I have this Sample Availability Timesheet with two Sheet-Tabs.

Master Sheet-Tab: This Sheet-Tab contains the list of employees with their respective start-time & end-time.

Availability Sheet-Tab: This Sheet-Tab contains the list of employees and a timescale with one hour hop. The resource availability is marked with Y, and by N if the resource is not available using the following formula:

            ...

            ANSWER

            Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 14:04

            Updated formula:

            =IF(VALUE(VLOOKUP($A2, Master!$A:$M, 13, 0)) > VALUE(VLOOKUP($A2, Master!$A:$M, 12, 0)), IF(ISBETWEEN(B$1, VALUE(VLOOKUP($A2, Master!$A:$M, 12, 0)), VALUE(VLOOKUP($A2, Master!$A:$M, 13, 0))), "Y", "N"), IF(OR(B$1 <= VALUE(VLOOKUP($A2, Master!$A:$M, 13, 0)), B$1 >= VALUE(VLOOKUP($A2, Master!$A:$M, 12, 0))), "Y", "N"))

Screenshot from the sheet you've shared with the formula working:

This version is an extension of the formula you shared. If someone is working from 4PM to 2AM then the way IFBETWEEN is being used will throw an error because 2AM is numerically less than 4PM and hence there is nothing in between.

So in cases where someone starts at a PM time and ends at AM time the formula checks for all slots between 12AM and the person working AM and marks them a Y. At the same time the formula also checks for all times in PM that are greater than the person working PM and marks them a Y as well.

If the person starts at a PM time and ends at a greater PM time then it uses your initial version of the formula.

I have made a slight modification to your formula and it should work now.

            =IF($C9>$B9, IF(ISBETWEEN(B$1, VLOOKUP($A2, $A$8:$C, 2, 0), VLOOKUP($A2, $A$8:$C, 3, 0)), "Y", "N"), IF(OR(B$1 <= VLOOKUP($A2, $A$8:$C, 3, 0), B$1 >= VLOOKUP($A2, $A$8:$C, 2, 0)), "Y", "N"))

Please remember to remove the dates from some of the cells ex in your sheet the value in C2 is 12/31/1899 2:00:00 and it should be changed to just 2:00:00.
