            QUESTION

TravisCI login with credentials return "Not Found", can't execute any travis
            Asked 2021-Feb-13 at 16:42

TravisCI login with credentials return "Not Found", can't execute any Travis command because it asks to login --pro, which I suppose is API endpoint for a pro account, which I don't have.

I have installed ruby from the msi installer, and then Travis using gem install travis. I installed ruby and then installed using chocolatey.

For some reason login itself keeps failing, I was able to log in by creating a GitHub token for Travis following this document and using travis login --github-token

            QUESTION

Can you install/use Travis Cli inside travis script?
            Asked 2017-Jun-30 at 16:24

As a part of my my customized travis build I would like to use Travis command-line client inside after_success script. I need that to trigger some operations on other travis jobs (other repositories) after each successfull build in this particular repo. So two questions:

            • Is it possible at all?
            • If so is there any smart or quick way to do that?

As far as I know Travis Cli has several ruby dependencies that may not be available by default. But perhaps it is by default installed on travis VMs.

Yes, this is completely possible. However, this would only work for language: ruby jobs.

For your specific case, you can do:

            Install travis.rb

Make sure you have at least Ruby 2.3.0 (2.6.0 recommended) installed.

If you have the old travis-cli gem installed, you should gem uninstall travis-cli, just to be sure, as it ships with an executable that is also named travis.
