            Camera on transporter of population
            Asked 2022-Feb-09 at 19:18

I want to put a camera on a transporter of an agent type AGV. Since there are multiple AGV transporters I cannot simply put it on the agent since it will give errors. So I tried to randomly select an AGV of the population, based on the busy parameter of the AGV agent. But when I try this it gives the next error: AGV can not be resolved to a variable.

AGV is an Agent type in my model and I've created a transporter fleet with as agent type the AGV (I also do not know if this is the correct method).

I've tried to code it in the following manner:

I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong, but I also could not find any simple example of putting a camera on AGVs or containers or something, only very complex examples or examples where there was just one agent (e.g. an airplane).

            Later added:

            Thanks in advance, Aron

Just put the camera into your AGV agent type. Make sure that your TransporterFleet is adding new transporters to a custom population of AGV agents (myPop), see below:

            In your model, you can now change the camera using my3DWindow.setCamera(((AGV)randomFrom(myPop)).myCamera);

Better put you camera movement in the LateUpdate() as adviced in the docs.

With a rigidbody and a collider properly set for the collision detection. Check docs so that you can detect the collisions properly.

Check that " Notes: Collision events are only sent if one of the colliders also has a non-kinematic rigidbody attached", so your camera could be one gameObject with no rigidbody, so that you can fly free and collide.

I case you might need physics behaviour for yout camera and you want it also to behave as a rigidbody I would set the camera movement with rigidbody.SetPosition instead of with transform.position = new Vector3(), as you need to choose to set the transform in the geometric or the physics world. Also you would need to uncheck the gravity option not to fall.

Zoom out camera while keeping text locked - Phaser 3
            Asked 2021-Nov-27 at 15:54

I'm making a sword game in which you have to collect coins to get big and you fight people. Here's what I have so far:

Notice how the player gets bigger as it collects coins. After a while, you get so big that you cover the entire screen.

I realized I have to zoom out the camera based on the players size.

This is what I have for camera (in create function)

            this.cameras.main.startFollow(this.mePlayer);

I added this line of code before it: this.cameras.main.setZoom(0.5)

Now it turns like this. The text is all smaller and for some reason my tileSprite background breaks too.

Here is the code for the text.

Thanks to samme for helping me solve this.

In the end I created another camera called UICamera.

I used the ignore function to ignore all of the game objects on that camera.

And I ignored all the text, minimap, ui, and tilesprite background on the main camera.

Then, to zoom out, I would just zoom out the main camera and adjust the tileSprite scale manually.

You definitely want navigator.mediaDevices.getUserMedia() method. It definitely works on iOS. The other one is deprecated. Apple is so late to the getUserMedia() party that they did not implement the deprecated API.

You can read about viewing the iOS console. You need to connect your iOS device to a mac, then use the Safari on that mac, to do that. It's a pain in the xxx neck. Explaining how is beyond the scope of a Stack Overflow answer.

Or you can use alert() for debugging.

You need to call cameraView.play() at the right moment. Here's the documentation.

It recommends doing something like this.

            Install linux-enable-ir-emitter

When the community uses my git and follows the steps explained below, it happens that some share the script configuration that works with their camera. In order to help those who are less comfortable with this kind of manipulation, I have set up an automatic script that tests on your camera the different configurations that users have shared. So before you start reading my whole tutorial below, try the automatic setup first, if it works you just saved at least an hour!.
Run the python script cd auto && python auto-config.py
The script will ask you to test your infrared camera, you just have to answer with yes/no if the infrared emitter works
If no configuration works, go to the Setting up the script section bellow.
If a configuration works, it will propose you to create a systemd service to automatically activate the transmitter at system startup.
(For information, the values used in the script are the one that works for my Lenovo T15.) Before starting all these steps; some users have shared their script settings. Take a look in config.txt, if you find your computer (or perhaps a similar reference), you can go directly to step 11 and modify the lines referenced by config.txt. For howdy, set the dark_threshold to 100 in sudo howdy config.
            Download enable-ir-emitter.c
Run the command lsusb to find your camera bus and write it down for later (step 7).
List your camera path with v4l2-ctl --list-devices and try to find the ir camera, e.g. with ffplay /dev/videoX (ffmpeg package). When you have found the path corresponding to the ir camera, write it down later (step 11).
Install Windows in a VM and allow Windows access to the camera.
            Install Wireshark on your distro
Run the command sudo modprobe usbmon to allow Wireshark to observe the bus and start it with sudo : sudo wireshark.
In Wireshark, go to the usbmon corresponding to the number of the bus. After that, use the filter usb.transfer_type == 0x02 && usb.bmRequestType == 0x21 (to only display camera control packets)
In the VM, go in the security options tab of the Windows settings and click on launch an improvement of the recognition of Windows Hello. A pop up is displayed and asks if we want to start the test, you can go back to Wireshark without having to go any further.
You can stop the reccording in Wireshark. Now you will have to find the right wValue and wIndex associated with the emitter in Wireshark. For this you will have to test each different proposal of the Wireshark logs.
Open the Setup Data section, and note the wValue, the wIndex, the wLength and the Data fragment for the next step.
Open the enable-ir-emitter.c file and modify my information with yours (the file is commented to help you).
Disconnect the camera from the vm and run gcc enable-ir-emitter.c -o enable-ir-emitter followed by ./enable-ir-emitter
If you don't have an error code, try if it work with ffplay /dev/videoX ! (or sudo howdy test)
If not go back to step 11 to test the next entry.
