I'm trying to build a Fortran model with Parallel IO (1.7.2) included. But I got numerous errors like these:

Answered 2017-Sep-25 at 17:19I solved my problem by checking the library path and install earlier versions of netcdf and pnetcdf in local folders.
The makefile from this MPAS model sets netcdf path and library as follows:

To clone this repository, run command git clone https://github.com/Parallel-NetCDF/PnetCDF.git This will create a new folder named PnetCDF.
Before running configure command to build PnetCDF, please run commands below first. cd PnetCDF autoreconf -i Several files, e.g. configure and Makefile.in, will be created for running the configure command. The minimum versions of GNU autotools required are: autoconfig version 2.69 automake version 1.13 libtool version 2.4.2 m4 version 1.4.17
Please read file INSTALL for build instructions. There are also several build recipes under folder doc for a few popular systems.
