Here is my folder structure in VS Code:

Here is how Github has uploaded it:

Github has ignored the project. The project isn't in the gitignore file either.

Git not staging .mp4 files from subdirectory
            Asked 2021-Jan-09 at 22:12

I have been facing this problem with git in which I am trying to upload .mp4 files in a subdirectory of wwwroot/ but whenever I am writing git status, they won't appear.

The new video files are located inside wwwroot/Content/Videos/ZoomEspecialista/ This problem has never occured before. I have uploaded maybe 10-15 new .mp4 files.

Regardless of that, in my .gitignore file, I am not excluding the folder which contains these .mp4 files. I have checked multiple times to see if there is something, but I think the problem lies somewhere else. If anyone has any idea on how to tackle this issue, it would be superbly appreciating. Thanks!

The only thing I get from doing a git status is this despite of having uploaded my files to that subdirectory:

Unable to edit storyboards in Xamarin Forms for Windows
            Asked 2020-Dec-08 at 16:27

I am trying to edit the LaunchScreen.storyboard in my iOS project of my Xamarin Forms solution in Visual Studio (VS) for Windows . When I double click the storyboard to edit it, I receive the error message as follows:

"The iOS Designer requires an active connection to a Mac server. Please connect to a Mac to enable the designer."

However, I am connected to my Mac build server.

I have seen some older posts where there are mismatches between the Mac build server and the Windows development box so I checked for updates to Visual Studio on the Mac. There were some so I installed them. Then when I re-opened my project in Visual Studio for Windows and tried to connect to the Mac, I receive the error message as follows:

So I clicked to have Visual Studio correct the miss-match error and now I am back to the same error message saying "Something went wrong".. as shown above.

I have checked for updates to VS on Windows and there are currently no updates. (I really hate it when Microsoft release incompatible updates like this.. ARG!!!)

So according to Microsoft here is the solution:

See https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/comments/1255414/view.html for a work around. Basically, disconnect from Mac, Forget Mac, Add mac again via IP Address. Downside is that you get 2 connection options to the same Mac.

As a heads up - you may need to do the forget then reconnect to the Mac when you open a different project you want to edit the storyboard for even if you are already connected to the Mac by IP address. Basically, if you ever get the error, disconnect from the Mac - forget the Mac then reconnect to it by IP address.

Unable to use Mono.Data.Sqlite.dll in Visual Studio
            Asked 2020-Nov-10 at 08:31

            Good afternoon,
I wrote some code with MonoDevelop on Linux. The program that i'm writing use Sqlite to store datas, so i've imported the Mono.Data.Sqlite, and it work perfectly.

            MonoDeveloper imported libraries

When i tried to copy the project on Windows and opened with Visual Studio 2019, i've got some troubles.

First of all, VS tells me that the library was not found.

            VS2019 imported libraries

When i try to compile VS throws me the error CS0246, that says that the type or namespace name "Mono" could not be found.

I've tried to reimported the Dll. The library was imported successfully, so that the code compiles without problems, but when I try to run the program, another error is thrown:

            System.BadImageFormatException

Could not load file or assembly 'Mono.Data.Sqlite, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=0738eb9f132ed756' or one of its dependencies. (HRESULT:0x80131058).

            I'm compiling with x86.

In some cases, especially when moving project on a another computer, the following steps can help to prepare environment to compile projects, that require the NuGet Mono.data.sqlite package:

            1. Remove reference to the Mono.Data.sqlite from the project's references.
            2. In the Visual Studio go to ToolsNuGet Package ManagerManage NuGet Packages for Solution... Then select Browse, find Mono.data.sqlite package and install it.
            3. Recompile the solution.

            Asked 2020-Aug-19 at 02:12

I'm writing some C# code on a Raspberry Pi using MonoDevelop. I've got a NodeView widget that contains three columns. I'd like to detect the column that was clicked in the NodeView. I've tried to use NodeSelection.Changed, but, that does not tell me the column. I've also tried coding a ButtonPress event for the NodeView and drilling down to the TreePath. I got nowhere with that.

I've noticed this question asked several times. But, I haven't seen a straight forward wy to get the row/column for a selected item in a NodeView.

You might be missing your .sln file, according to this post on Unity Answers, or you can try reinstalling the .NET framework according to this answer on there.

Regardless, MonoDevelop has been abandoned by Unity for a long time. You should be using Visual Studio (read this announcement).

I want to deserialize a string (json) to an object (i'd like dynamic).

I use monodevelop and nuget packages

I have been looking for Json.net but also found Newtonsoft.Json.

And I could make a JArray by using Newtonsoft.Json.Linq.

            ANSWER

            Answered 2020-May-30 at 16:39

Newtonsoft.Json is most likely the one you want. It has been known as "Json.Net" since it was first released in 2006 and has many features, including the LINQ-to-JSON API (JObject, JArrays, etc.).

However, in December 2018 (after the question you referenced was asked), another author unaffiliated with Newtonsoft released a completely different library on NuGet and called it Json.Net so now there is confusion. This other library advertises itself as a "A Minimalistic JSON handler" so it intentionally does not have very many features. It definitely does not have support for JArrays.
