QUESTION
I ran bundle update rails
and got this. I'm stumped. If activerecord-session_store
2.0 depends on a version of actionpack
between 5.2.4.1 and above, and if actionpack is a dependency of Rails 6, shouldn't this be ok?

with your Gemfile

QUESTION
What is the recommended for cassandra (apache) 3.11.9 system_auth? need to be SimpleStrategy
or NetworkTopologyStrategy
? And with how much RF?
We have cassandra with 1 dc (2-3 AWS racks with EC2_snitch + dynamic_snitch disabled). Most queries running on consistency level local_one). Today our system_auth
keyspace configured SimpleStrategy
with RF 3. In a lot of queries, we are wasting time on (tracing):
ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-14 at 02:51I answered this question a while ago, which is similar: Replication Factor to use for system_auth
Due to issues that can happen with larger clusters which fluctuate in size, we now treat system_auth like we do any other keyspace. That is, we set system_auth's RF to 3 in each DC.
tl;dr;, if you're using NetworkTopologyStrategy
on your non-system keyspaces, then you should also be using it for system_auth
. Same with your RF; I'd always match the RF of system_auth
with that of my "normal" keyspaces, as well.
No, the replication strategy and RF used on system_auth
does not typically cause query latency. That is of course, unless any of the Security cache settings have been altered. 10 years of working with Cassandra, I've never had to change those: https://docs.datastax.com/en/security/5.1/security/secAuthCacheSettings.html
queries wasting time on (tracing): "Executing single-partition query on roles [ReadStage-X]"
This statement got me thinking: Are you tracing queries in cqlsh while logged in as the default cassandra
user? That user does trigger some cqlsh operations to execute at QUORUM. Could also be that maybe the query consistency and connection consistency are set differently. Just a thought.
QUESTION
I have Zookeeper and Apache Kafka servers running on my Windows computer. The problem is with a Spring Boot application: it reads the same messages from Kafka whenever I start it. It means the offset is not being saved. How do I fix it?
Versions are: kafka_2.12-2.4.0
, Spring Boot 2.5.0
.
In Kafka listener bean, I have
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-10 at 15:19Your issue is here enable.auto.commit = false
. If you are not manually committing offset after consuming messages, You should configure this to true
If this is set to false, after consuming messages from Kafka, there is no feedback to Kafka whether you read or not. Then after you restart your consumer it will send messages from the start. If you enable this, your consumer make sure it will automatically send your last read offset to Kafka. Then Kafka saved that offset in __consumer_offsets topic with your consumer group_id
, topic
you consumed and partition
.
Then after you restart the consumer, Kafka read your last position from __consumer_offsets
topic and send from there.

I'm still learning javascript, and I'm using three sets of code - but it seems like there could be a better way to write them.

Errors:
Bootstrap broker localhost:9092 (id: -1 rack: null) disconnected
Connection to node -1 (localhost/127.0.0.1:9092) could not be established. Broker may not be available.
Puzzle:
The configured broker is not local, it's BROKER_1.FOO.NET:9094, and it is available.
pom.xml
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-10 at 17:33it's BROKER_1.FOO.NET:9094, and it is available.
The bootstrap port may be available and responding to requests, but that broker then returned it's configured advertised.listeners
.
Based on your error, either
- that's set to be localhost/127.0.0.1:9092
- or you're getting the default Spring property for the bootstrap servers config

QUESTION
I was trying to change my coc.nvim autocomplete key, and found this question in Stack Overflow, but the guy who answer this question doesn't explain really good how to customize it as you want, so I will explain it to help the NeoVim users that are racking the brain for this as I was.

Answered 2021-May-03 at 14:20If you want to bind Tab for autocompletion, paste this in your .vimrc or init.vim
QUESTION
I have a data export from a rack management software that I need to manipulate and load to a new system.
In the current export (df1) I have a column that includes the acronym of one of the data centers. That is: column "Region" with values in the format "DC_Rack_01".
I created an empty data frame (df2) that I will eventually import into the new system. This df2 will be populated with data from df1 but the fields do not match 1:1. This new data frame (df2) must have a column "site" which must have the acronym "DC" in it (or whatever the name of the other data centers are). I am thinking to do something as stated in the post question (I hope it's not too confusing):
if df1.region starts with("DC"), use "DC" to populate column df2.site
I tried the following code but it returns a boolean True/False, but I want the actual string "DC".

Answered 2021-Jun-09 at 15:30supposing the 'Site_acronym'
is always the first two letters from the column 'region'

QUESTION
I'm trying to get some insight in this room for optimization for a SQL query (BigQuery). I have this segment of a WHERE clause that needs to include all instances where h.isEntrance is TRUE or where h.hitNumber = 1. I've tested it back and forth with CASE statements, and with OR statements for them, and the results aren't wholly conclusive.
It seems like the CASE is faster for shorter data pulls, and the OR is faster for longer data pulls, but that doesn't make sense to me. Is there a difference between these or is it likely something else driving this difference? Is one faster/is there another better option for incorporating this logical requirement into my query? Below the statement is my full query for context in case that's helpful.
Also open to any other optimizations I may have overlooked within this query as lowering the runtime for this query is paramount to its usefulness.
Thanks!

Answered 2021-Jun-08 at 15:46From a code craft viewpoint alone, I would probably always write your CASE
expression as this:

So I'm accessing an Siemens LOGO! PLC to extract some data from. I managed to do that with my work partner but we're stuck on how the data is being saved. The data is being timestamped in a dictionary with the output and input bytes from the PLC. But the data comes in a certain order and is timestamped the moment the data is extracted.
Now the problem is that the timestamps and data isn't saved in the same order that the data comes in. Somewhere in the process it makes a mistake (I think), but we can't seem to find it.
Here's the Python Code we use: ...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-07 at 13:29I found out why it was so duplicating the data packets.
Because the dict
data is defined outside the while loop it keeps adding new keys, values to the dict
. The dict
is being wrapped into a json file and keeps getting exponentially increasing.
The dict
data needs to be defined inside the while loop so that it can be reused every time it dumps the dict
into the json.
