The way the @iconify-icons/cryptocurrency library is exported means you need to transpile each icon package you use individually.

I ran bundle update rails and got this. I'm stumped. If activerecord-session_store 2.0 depends on a version of actionpack between 5.2.4.1 and above, and if actionpack is a dependency of Rails 6, shouldn't this be ok?

You should use the Electron Forge Webpack template which has better support for native modules.

There is currently an open issue for this functionality caused by the outdated/unmaintained @marshallofsound/webpack-asset-relocator-loader which caters for native modules via Webpack. I'm currently working on a PR to fix this but in the meantime you can use my updated fork.

Im using Typescript, Electron, Webpack and NodeJS to make a webapp but for some reason the import/export isnt working properly.

            The error im receiving is:

"Warning: React.createElement: type is invalid -- expected a string (for built-in components) or a class/function (for composite components) but got: undefined. You likely forgot to export your component from the file it's defined in, or you might have mixed up default and named imports."

My mistake was thinking that the webpack ts-loader would take context from from ts-config file and transpile the typescript according to that and webpack the content into the final bundle. Upon looking at my question again ive realised i put the index.tsx file as my entry point which is why i was still getting a bundled webpack file but my imports were undefined the only file being webpack was my index file i believe. That combined with the single file output tsc seems to have been the cause.

tsc was creating a bundle of my typescript.

webpack was creating a bundle of just my index.tsx file

Docker: EACCES: permission denied, mkdir '/app/node_modules/.cache'
            Asked 2021-Jun-13 at 20:05

I encountered a permission error while trying to build a docker container in a React app.
I tried to make use of the community answers, but didn't help.
            Following related discussion I tried:

            • I get the current user: id -un
            • tried this: sudo chown -R myUser:myUser /usr/local/lib/node_modules
            • this also threw the same error: sudo chown -R ownerName: /usr/local/lib/node_modules
            • same with this: sudo chown -R $USER /usr/local/lib/node_modules
            • adding a user didn't help: sudo chown -R $USER /app/node_modules
            • tried to give permission installing this: sudo npm install -g --unsafe-perm=true --allow-root
            • another try was to remove node_modules and install specifying sudo: sudo npm install

Adding this to docker-compose file, didn't help either:

Material UI withStyles in an NPM package causes errors when used through npm link
            Asked 2021-Jun-13 at 09:57

I'm trying to locally build the oodt_fm_plugin NPM package and link it locally to the oodt_opsui_sample_app. However, when I'm trying to do that, the following error is thrown in the browser.

Error: Minified React error #321; visit https://reactjs.org/docs/error-decoder.html?invariant=321 for the full message or use the non-minified dev environment for full errors and additional helpful warnings.

The error goes away if I remove the withStyles HOC from the components in oodt_fm_plugin, but I want to preserve it for the material UI styles.

React components in the oodt_fm_plugin have been exported as follows. ( This plugin can be viewed at https://github.com/apache/oodt/tree/development/react-components/oodt_fm_plugin. )

            export default withStyles(styles)(Product);

What I tried to overcome this are as follows, but none of those solved the issue.

            1. Making react and react-dom packages in the plugin, dev dependencies
            2. Adding the following snippet to the webpack.config.js of the plugin.

Well, I finally managed to solve the problem, after trying for several days. As I found out, it was not a problem with material ui, but with the Create React App. This Github issue comment helped me to solve my problem.

For extra clarity, I will quote the issue comment in this answer itself, so that it will remain here even if the comment gets deleted.

^ Ok, the solution I went for to solve this for create-react-app is to use react-app-rewired and customize-cra.
