QUESTION
When setting up an Azure Static WebApp when I chose GitHub as the source provider, the UI provides an option to choose from one of the existing branches. But once the app is created I don't see any option to change the source. Whereas in Azure "App Service", you can disconnect from GitHub and establish the connection again with a different branch.
So, Is it possible to change the source branch in Azure SWA?
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 16:36You might've sorted it out by now, but this confused me as well and it turns out that you set this up on the deployment setup. In my case I'm using DevOps/Pipelines, and on the pipeline (equivalent to Github Actions) you can choose which branch to source from. Then you run the pipeline, and that will automatically change the source in the Static Web app.
QUESTION
A few days ago my code for sending Push notifications stopped working :(
The program began to hang on the last line apnsBroker.Stop();
I use NuGet package PushSharp.Core https://github.com/mitch-tofi/PushSharp.Core
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Apr-27 at 13:30We're looking in to the same issue currently and it seems apple are disabling the old binary interface which push sharp uses.
https://developer.apple.com/news/?id=c88acm2b
pushsharp has it on the roadmap to support the new interface but not completed yet.
Found this library which seems easy enough to use as a solution. hope this helps.
QUESTION
I wrote a discord bot. "o" is first letter of play. "atla" is skip. When I wrote -o MUSIC_NAME, music is adding queue and starting to play. And when I write again, just adding queue. Everything is okay still here. When I wrote -atla. It's also working perfectly. But when I allow to changing auto music itself, it's changing music automatically. But problem is here. The end of the last music not working else if (list.length === 0) block in endHandler function. How can I fix that? Thanks for your attention.
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 15:41I'm not familiar with Discord bots but I don't think your endHandler
will ever run the else if
part the way it is because your code is always creating a new dispatcher
when it plays the next song, but never sets up a finish
handler for it.
QUESTION
I'm doing some scraping, but as I'm parsing approximately 4000 URL's, the website eventually detects my IP and blocks me every 20 iterations.
I've written a bunch of Sys.sleep(5)
and a tryCatch
so I'm not blocked too soon.
I use a VPN but I have to manually disconnect and reconnect it every now and then to change my IP. That's not a suitable solution with such a scraper supposed to run all night long.
I think rotating a proxy should do the job.
Here's my current code (a part of it at least) :
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Apr-07 at 15:25Interesting question. I think the first thing to note is that, as mentioned on this Github issue, rvest
and xml2
use httr
for the connections. As such, I'm going to introduce httr
into this answer.
The following code chunk shows how to use httr
to query a url using a proxy and extract the html content.
QUESTION
I am trying to run a test case which basically copies a file from my machine to a mock server running in docker. The same test works fine on Mac and Ubuntu. But on Windows it's getting failed with the following error:-
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Mar-31 at 11:29The remote path must be /
, not \
.
And the argument to createCopyCommand
cannot be Path
, as on Windows, that will translate the /
to \
.
QUESTION
I build a script to filter several Messages out of a log file. The file im using right now has around 400.000 lines and when im looking for a match with the following code he takes very long since i added the progress bar. Is there a way to make it more efficient. If im right the reason for it to take so long is that he refreshes the progressbar Gui with every line he passes.
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 09:18Updating the progress bar element in the host application does indeed take up time and resources during execution - but even if you suppressed the progress bar, writing to the progress stream is still pretty slow!
As iRon suggests, the solution is to call Write-Progress
less often:
QUESTION
Im trying to create a multithreaded namedpipe server as outlined in the msdn sample here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/ipc/multithreaded-pipe-server but Im trying to restrict the namedpipe to access by adminstrators group members only.
The example works correctly when no SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES structure is specified but when an SA is specified the first call is successful, but following calls to CreateNamedPipe fail as long as the first pipe is listening or communicating with a client. The create call fails, usually with ACCESS_DENIED, but sometimes with error 1305 The revision level is unknown. When the first pipe closes due to client disconnecting the following call will be successful for the next createnamedpipe call but will in turn fail once that pipe has a client.
I have tried multiple values for the grfInheritance field with no avail. This is my first adventure into explicitly specifying SECURITY so forgive me if I have missed something obvious. Note that in the Function that calls createnamedpipe I create a new SA structure with each create attempt but I have also tried creating one and sharing it outside the create loop.
Relevant code follows:
function that creates the pipe:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 02:23According to Named Pipe Security and Access Rights,
In addition to the requested access rights, the DACL must allow the calling thread FILE_CREATE_PIPE_INSTANCE access to the named pipe.
QUESTION
A while ago I needed to move git managed code to a separate disconnected network. I was unaware of git bundle at the time and so just created a new git repo on the new host and copied the files. They were committed as an initial commit, and all development continued on the new repo.
Due to 'altered' requirements, I need to bring back the newer code to the old repo. Is it possible to use git bundle to do this to preserve all commit history? There has been no further commits to the old repo.
Thanks for any clues. Bob
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-12 at 22:17You cannot use git bundle
because:
As no direct connection between the repositories exists, the user must specify a basis for the bundle that is held by the destination repository: the bundle assumes that all objects in the basis are already in the destination repository.
In your case the new repository does not share anything with the old one, except for the working directory, which is not enough. In summary the last commit of the old repo should have the same hash of the first commit in the new repo.
You have another way, git format-patch
and git am
:
First you need to create a patch for each commit (except the first one) in the new repository:
QUESTION
Started to develop a wiresless 'cable' solution (with websockets) between two ESPs, a wireless serial 'cable' between computer and a serial device to mimick a direct wired connection. Was working great however just accidentally fried one of the ESPs (short a serial cable connection to higher voltage - sigh) when testing. Replaced one of the ESP32s with an ESP8266. Suspect this should work however it did not.
The problem is the ESP8266 (client) cannot find the network of the ESP32 (server). Why it doesn't work? My computer can see the server and can connect. Fried ESP32 the same, no problem.
Tried the WiFiScan demo on the ESP8266 and can detect all other WiFi SSIDs/MACs in neighborhood however cannot detect the ESP32 server it's SSID/MAC.
Why it doesn't work? What is the difference and how can I solve this?
ESP32 - code of the server
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-14 at 07:45WiFi channels 12-14 are not used in some countries (e.g. US). Perhaps the ESP32 AP picked one of those channels, and ESP8266 is configured by default with settings from a country which doesn't allow them. Set the AP channel to some reasonably safe value in range 1-11.
I can see that the default channel should be 1, but I'd suggest experimenting with it, perhaps setting it to 6:

Hi I'm making a card game and i've been able to connect my client side with my socket.io server but the problem is my client sends a lot of requests when connecting to the server.
I'm using ReactJS on the client side and ExpressJS + socket.io on the server side.

and create a new connection. Instead, create the connection in useEffect
once and keep a reference.
