I am trying to find a way to add an image in tkinter.text widget. I found many answers in Stackoverflow, like this and this. But none of these answer my question of how to add an image using the askopenfilename method.

This is the improved code, now each image gets "saved" to the dictionary so that it doesn't get garbage collected (as @CoolCloud mentioned), now it should be able to add pretty much any amount of images in one go and in multiple, don't know what happens if an image is deleted in that whether it stays in the dict or no:
