QUESTION
I am trying to parse the JSON data below into the structs that are shown. I am having a helluva time trying to figure out how to get at the "nested" elements, such as elements "title:", "content:", and "excerpt:". Whenever the code runs, it barfs while parsing the nested elements.
I've looked at the Apple Developer stuff and reviewed the Playground here: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/foundation/archives_and_serialization/using_json_with_custom_types
I also tried using quicktype.io to create the data models from the sample JSON, however, in the header of the exported file from quicktype it has the line: "let blogItem = try? newJSONDecoder().decode(BlogItem.self, from: jsonData)", however, I get a compile error that jsonData is not recognized and I'm not able to find any reference to it.

QUESTION
I find myself using a lot of the same R code in my Rmd posts and currently have a template file from where I copy paste this common R code into new posts. However, now I wonder if it's possible to modify the Rmd post template to include these lines of common R code and some reminders to myself on how to do a few things. It would be nice if this worked with the blogdown addin "new post" in RStudio.
I searched here, the blogdown book and the blogdown repo and didn't see information on how to do this. The closest is for modifying the html template, not the Rmd template.
Here's an example Rmd file that I would like to use as my Rmd post template
PS: Blogged about this here.
...ANSWER
Answered 2018-Feb-27 at 07:01You can create a template using the file /archetypes/default.md
. Its content will be used for your new posts.
Alternatively, you can use the kind
argument of blogdown::new_post()
(or blogdown::new_content()
), which should be the name of the "archetype" (see Hugo's documentation).
Update: there was a bug in blogdown::new_content()
, which has been fixed by the OP. For now, devtools::install_github('rstudio/blogdown')
should work.

Answered 2018-Sep-16 at 22:07You an create a template-record on the page Blog
, then only that page and subpages get that configuration. Else the default configuration is taken which is or has to be defined in the root-template.
You also could use Conditions in the root-template to check for the Blog-Page and assign the special template inside that condition. Assumed your Blog has the pid
(Page-Id) 5 the condition would look like this:
