Filters in Power BI embed report
            Asked 2022-Jan-05 at 11:55

I developed a few months ago a NodeJS API to get embed reports from Power BI (using a tenant). I consume this API from an Angular app. Now I want to get the report filtered, and I don't know if this is possible with my actual code.

I used the PowerBI rest API to get the embed report. Reading the docs of microsoft, I see lots of docs like this one, where says that I should create an object with the filters that I want. This is not a problem, but I don't know if this is compatible with mi actual Node API or I should develop a new solution.

My API follows the sample provided by Microsoft, and the code is:

Finally, I came out with a solution. In mi Angular app, I use the library powerbi-client-angular. That allows me to define some configuration in the embed report:

Power BI REST API ExportToFileInGroup Not Working
            Asked 2021-Jun-01 at 17:54

I am able to programmatically log in to the PowerBI Client, gather my Workspaces as well as get a specific Report from a specific Workspace. I need to programmatically render that report to a .pdf or .xlsx file. Allegedly this is possible with the ExportToFileInGroup/ExportToFileInGroupAsync methods. I even created a very simple report without any parameters. I can embed this using the sample app from here. So that at least tells me that I have what I need setup in the backend. But it fails when I try to run the ExportToFileInGroupAsync method (errors below code.)

            My Code is:

Turns out the issue was on our side, more specifically, security/firewall settings. Here is the exact quote from our networking guru.

"After some more investigation we determined that our firewall was causing this issue when it was terminating the SSL connection. We were able to add a bypass for the URL and it is now working as expected."

Integration with PowerBI: GetDashboardsInGroupAsync or GetReportsInGroupAsync returns NotFound
            Asked 2020-Sep-23 at 10:05

I'm trying to retrieve the list of dashboards and reports from PowerBI via its api. In my previous post I have an issue with the connection with the apis. I fixed it.

I'm using the latest packages from Microsoft for PowerBI.

Now, I'm trying to get the list of dashboards or reports in a particular group with this code:

The problem was in the permission of workspaces. I created a new one and now the code is working without any changes.

In the post I added the process I followed to arrive at the solution.
