How to check proxy anonymity Python
            Asked 2022-Jan-24 at 04:12

How can I check proxy anonymities in Python?

I've tried searching this up but all I got that really made sense was this answer.

But I don't have the resources to host a "test site" to get the headers of the requests.

I've tried hosting my own site on localhost with Flask but my IP doesn't like being GET requested by random proxy servers.

I had an idea to use HttpBin's API but it ignores the Required Via and X-Forwarder-For request headers.

I could probbably use another API but I don't know about any others.

So, how can I check a http proxy's anonymity in Python?

You're still running everything on a single thread, it just happens to be a thread you've created rather than the main thread. Nothing changed by doing that. What you need to do is spawn multiple threads with each one handling some subset of the requests you need to make.

Rather than managing the threads yourself you could also, for example, use a worker pool provided by a package such as multiprocessing.

            1. don't do asynchronous code in a .forEach, that never works like you expect - use a regular for loop
            2. make tetProxies async
            3. use await proxytestLogic
            4. get rid of that new Promise you never resolve anyway

so - you end up with:

It looks like the .text attribute/property returns a string or similar object with newlines between the IP addresses, you seem to want a list.

Python Proxy Scraper / Checker adding multi-threading trouble
            Asked 2020-Oct-17 at 15:21

I have managed to piece together a proxy scraper/checker, it does work but it is quite slow. I have heard that adding threading can speed up the process, this is past what I am capable of and am wondering if anyone can help show me how to implement threading into the code. I read that the threading library is included with python, I had an attempt at adding it but it seemed to create a second thread doing exactly the same, so it was just going through the same list of proxies at the same time saving duplicates. here is the code.

The following should run much faster. It is best probably to do all the file writing and printing in the main thread and have the worker threads simply return results back:

The easiest way would be using file_get_contents() function built into PHP.

So to download & save the file you would do something like this:

You can use proxyscrape like any standard Python library. You will need to make sure that you have a development environment consisting of a Python distribution including header files, a compiler, pip, and git installed. Make sure that your pip, setuptools, and wheel are up to date. When using pip it is generally recommended to install packages in a virtual environment to avoid changes to the system.
