Xcode fails to Build on real iOS device running iOS 13
            Asked 2020-May-21 at 20:00

I'm currently updated my iPhone XS Max to iOS 13.0.17A5492t Beta version.

My mac running on Mac OS Catalina and Xcode is on latest stable version not beta >> Version 10.2.1 (10E1001).

When i try to build my apps on my real device i get this compile error:

This iPhone XS Max is running iOS 13.0 (17A5492t), which may not be supported by this version of Xcode.

            What i've done
            1. Download iOS 13.0 Developer Disk Image from repo.
            2. Pasted in /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/DeviceSupport
            3. Restart Xcode

            but none of above worked.

your step by step manual you performed actually helped me and now I can work with iOs 13 with xcode 10.2.1. There is only difference, that I downloaded device support files from this github, so you can try this. And I restarted whole mac to be sure:)

            QUESTION

            DeviceSupport files for iOS13.1.2 (17A860)
            Asked 2019-Oct-05 at 10:50

Anybody who have installed Xcode 11 would be kind enough to upload somewhere the DeviceSupport files for iOS 13.1.2 ? Can't find the files anywhere.

There's a good place to find DeviceSupport files, but they don't have 13.1.2 : https://github.com/iGhibli/iOS-DeviceSupport/tree/master/DeviceSupport

Side note, Xcode 11 requires mac os 10.14.4, which is not supported by my macbook, so basically I need to buy a new macbook to upgrade Xcode. Thanks for your help.

[edit] it seems you can use the 13.1 support files and put them in a folder named 13.1.2

            Can find 13.1 here : https://github.com/iGhibli/iOS-DeviceSupport/tree/master/DeviceSupport

[edit] reports says that you don't even need to rename the folder, 13.1 DeviceSupport file should be enough for 13.1.x devices.

Xcode 9 iOS Simulator becoming black screen after installing Xcode 10 beta
            Asked 2019-Sep-23 at 16:01

I know that so many people have asked this question earlier. But I think my situation is different. In my case Xcode 9.2 was already installed and I upgraded macOS from 10.13.2 to 10.13.5. Then I installed Xcode 10 beta. Now when I'm running any project on Xcode 9.2 and try to use simulator, its becoming black though I can see the xcode logs. Things I have tried so far,

            1. Uninstalled Xcode 10 Beta
            2. Uninstalling & reinstalling Xcode 9.2
            3. Uninstall Xcode 9.2 and install Xcode 9.4
            4. Reset Content & Settings from simulator menu
            5. Restart Device from simulator menu
            6. Resizing simulator.
            7. Followed this post and cleaned DerivedData, CoreSimulator, iOSDeviceSupport
            8. Re add simulators from devices & simulators section

Now what should I do now?

You can download it from GitHub.
You can use iOS-DeviceSupport like any standard Python library. You will need to make sure that you have a development environment consisting of a Python distribution including header files, a compiler, pip, and git installed. Make sure that your pip, setuptools, and wheel are up to date. When using pip it is generally recommended to install packages in a virtual environment to avoid changes to the system.
