So you write a program to do it for you. The conference has multiple tracks each of which has a morning and afternoon session. Each session contains multiple talks. Morning sessions begin at 9am and must finish before 12 noon, for lunch. Afternoon sessions begin at 1pm and must finish in time for the networking event. The networking event can start no earlier than 4:00 and no later than 5:00. No talk title has numbers in it. All talk lengths are either in minutes (not hours) or lightning (5 minutes). Motivating background info: I maintain a C++ library, and I spent way too much time this weekend tracking down a mysterious memory-corruption problem in an application that links to this library. The problem eventually turned out to be caused by the fact that the C++ library was built with a particular -DBLAH_BLAH compiler-flag, while the application's code was being compiled without that -DBLAH_BLAH flag, and that led to the library-code and the application-code interpreting the classes declared in the library's header-files differently in terms of data-layout. That is: sizeof(ThisOneParticularClass) would return a different value when invoked from a .cpp file in the application than it would when invoked from a .cpp file in the library.
So far, so unfortunate -- I have addressed the immediate problem by making sure that the library and application are both built using the same preprocessor-flags, and I also modified the library so that the presence or absence of the -DBLAH_BLAH flag won't affect the sizeof() its exported classes... but I feel like that wasn't really enough to address the more general problem of a library being compiled with different preprocessor-flags than the application that uses that library. Ideally I'd like to find a mechanism that would catch that sort of problem at compile-time, rather than allowing it to silently invoke undefined behavior at runtime. Is there a good technique for doing that? (All I can think of is to auto-generate a header file with #ifdef/#ifndef tests for the application code to #include, that would deliberately #error out if the necessary #defines aren't set, or perhaps would automatically-set the appropriate #defines right there... but that feels a lot like reinventing automake and similar, which seems like potentially opening a big can of worms)

So, the first option is to use Java 11 to run the project, as Java 11 can recognize this VM option.

Typeclass laws are often written with single-equals (=) rather than double-equals (==). This suggests that the notion of equality used in typeclass laws is something other than that of Eq (which makes sense, since Eq is not a superclass of Monoid)
Searching around, I was unable to find any authoritative statement on the meaning of = in typeclass laws. For instance:
- The Haskell 2010 report does not even contain the word "law" in it
- Speaking with other Haskell users, most people seem to believe that
=usually means extensional equality or substitution but is fundamentally context-dependent. Nobody provided any authoritative source for this claim. - The Haskell wiki article on monad laws states that
=is extensional, but, again, fails to provide a source, and I wasn't able to track down any way to contact the author of the relevant edit.
The question, then: Is there any authoritative source on or standard for the semantics for = in typeclass laws? If so, what is it? Additionally, are there examples where the intended meaning of = is particularly exotic?
(As a side note, treating = extensionally can get tricky. For instance, there is a Monoid (IO a) instance, but it's not really clear what extensional equality of IO values looks like.)

I would like to automatically generate some sort of log of all the database changes that are made via the Django shell in the production environment.
We use schema and data migration scripts to alter the production database and they are version controlled. Therefore if we introduce a bug, it's easy to track it back. But if a developer in the team changes the database via the Django shell which then introduces an issue, at the moment we can only hope that they remember what they did or/and we can find their commands in the Python shell history.

I have a customer using bing tracking via https://bat.bing.com/bat.js.
On December, 6th 2021 it started calling in clarity.js without the customer making any changes to their code.
This slowed the overall page load by 1 second on mobile and 500ms on desktop. I've been trying to figure out how to disable this JS but I'm not sure what to do as it's being fired from the bing tracking js.
The bing tracking code is being triggered via google tag manager.
Anyone else having this issue and know how to disable clarity.js from being called at all?
Customer is using Wordpress. Amazing Bing can implement code that slows down a site overall page speed without any notification to the customer.
