How to run Sequelize migrations inside Docker
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 15:38

I'm trying to docerize my NodeJS API together with a MySQL image. Before the initial run, I want to run Sequelize migrations and seeds to have the tables up and ready to be served.

            Here's my docker-compose.yaml:

I solved my issue by using Docker Compose Wait. Essentially, it adds a wait loop that samples the DB container, and only when it's up, runs migrations and seeds the DB.

My next problem was: those seeds ran every time the container was run - I solved that by instead running a script that runs the seeds, and touchs a semaphore file. If the file exists already, it skips the seeds.

            1. This version already has a built-in jager tracer, see the documentation.
            2. In order for the events to be nested, it is necessary to transfer the context inside the actions, use ctx.call calls instead of broker.call, so they will be nested.

            QUESTION

            docker compose not exposing ports
            Asked 2021-Jun-14 at 18:42

I have a dockerfile that works by itself, with

            docker build -t image_apache .
            docker run -tid -p 5000:80 --name=container_apache image_apache

This works, and I can connect to its webserver with 127.0.0.1:5000

But when I try to create a docker-compose.yml file to build and run the image with docker-compose, it doesn't appear to expose the port at all.

            Here is the docker-compose.yaml

            ANSWER

            Answered 2021-Jun-14 at 18:42

please try using docker-compose run -p 8080:80 deploy_test as run command can not expose/publish ports by itself i.e. you need to specify it manually. For more information regarding same, please refer to its official documentation here.

Just add GROUP BY YEAR(FIN_RESERVATION) to the end of your query or change it to MIN(YEAR(FIN_RESERVATION)) - you can also use max. If you didn't do these things and instead changed the mode MySQL would simply arbitrarily pick one of the year values anyway

Only full group by is a good thing

Support for _PIP_ADDITIONAL_REQUIREMENTS environment variable has not been released yet. It is only supported by the developer/unreleased version of the docker image. It is planned that this feature will be available in Airflow 2.1.1. For more information, see: Adding extra requirements for build and runtime of the PROD image.

For the older version, you should build a new image and set this image in the docker-compose.yaml. To do this, you need to follow a few steps.

            1. Create a new Dockerfile with the following content:

Apache Nutch doesn't expose its API
            Asked 2021-Jun-14 at 14:50

I'm trying to use Apache Nutch 1.x Rest API. I use docker images to set up Nutch and Solr. You can see the demo repo in here

Apache Nutch uses Solr as its dependents. Solr works great, I'm able to reach its GUI at localhost:8983.

However, I cannot reach Apache Nutch's API at localhost:8081. The problem starts here. The Apache Nutch 1.X RESTAPI doc indicates that I can start the server like this 2. :~$ bin/nutch startserver -port [If the port option is not mentioned then by default the server starts on port 8081]

Which I am doing in docker-compose.yml file. I'm also exposing the ports to the outside.

The right way to accomplish this is to write a custom docker file to and address it by docker compose.
