QUESTION
I was trying to remove the log4j dependency from my project which is a huge repository. After having a close look in gradle files I found one of the module refers to the log4j dependency, which I excluded in gradle as shown in below code - exclude group: 'log4j', module: 'log4j'
...ANSWER
Answered 2022-Jan-19 at 22:42I would use below but also make sure you add the correct slf4j library to replace the interface ie. log4j-over-slf4j
QUESTION
Current jetty version is 9.4.6, I tried to upgrade 9.4.44, I got the error. Could you please help me?
...ANSWER
Answered 2022-Jan-17 at 13:21The jetty files in your apacheds-service-2.0.0-M24.jar
needs to be upgraded as well.
List the contents of the apacheds-service-2.0.0-M24.jar
file and you'll see classes in the org.eclipse.jetty.
namespace.
Those are conflicting with your efforts to upgrade Jetty via the jetty-distribution
zip.
QUESTION
I am using Maven 3.6.0 and I have Spring Boot Maven project whose pom file as follows :
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Dec-14 at 07:28A dependency that has another dependency that has the scope provided
won't lead to that provided
dependency being on the classpath. It probably is there because it is needed for testing or building.
So what you should do is check your end deployment unit (your own jar/war) and check if the jar is there in the lib
directory. If it is something else is managing/including that dependency. (You can use mvn dependency:tree
to figure out which one).
For more information on the Maven scopes, check this. How to include a certain version of Log4j2 (when you are using it) with Spring Boot is described in this Spring.io blog-post.
QUESTION
I have the following bash command:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Aug-17 at 12:31You can add a sleep to the command you pass to xargs
e.g. by wrapping it in sh -c ...
.
That's some horrible pipeline stringing, by the way. You can refactor grep -v foo | grep -v bar
to grep -v -e foo -e bar
or save the strings in a file and use grep -v -f filename
; but let's further refactor everything into a single Awk script. See also useless use of grep

QUESTION
I built the Apache Oozie 5.2.1 from the source code in my MacOS and currently having trouble running it. The ClassNotFoundException indicates a missing class org.apache.hadoop.conf.Configuration but it is available in both libext/ and the Hadoop file system.
I followed the 1st approach given here to copy Hadoop libraries to Oozie binary distro. https://oozie.apache.org/docs/5.2.1/DG_QuickStart.html
I downloaded Hadoop 2.6.0 distro and copied all the jars to libext before running Oozie in addition to other configs, etc as specified in the following blog.
https://www.trytechstuff.com/how-to-setup-apache-hadoop-2-6-0-version-single-node-on-ubuntu-mac/
This is how I installed Hadoop in MacOS. Hadoop 2.6.0 is working fine. http://zhongyaonan.com/hadoop-tutorial/setting-up-hadoop-2-6-on-mac-osx-yosemite.html
This looks pretty basic issue but could not find why the jar/class in libext is not loaded.
- OS: MacOS 10.14.6 (Mojave)
- JAVA: 1.8.0_191
- Hadoop: 2.6.0 (running in the Mac)
ANSWER
Answered 2021-May-09 at 23:25I was able to sort the above issue and few other ClassNotFoundException by copying the following jar files from extlib to lib. Both folder are in oozie_install/oozie-5.2.1.
- libext/hadoop-common-2.6.0.jar
- libext/commons-configuration-1.6.jar
- libext/hadoop-mapreduce-client-core-2.6.0.jar
- libext/hadoop-hdfs-2.6.0.jar
While I am not sure how many more jars need to be moved from libext to lib while I try to run an example workflow/job in oozie. This fix brought up Oozie web site at http://localhost:11000/oozie/
I am also not sure why Oozie doesn't load the libraries in the libext/ folder.
QUESTION
I am trying Kafka connect for the first time and I want to connect SAP S/4 HANA to Hive. I have created the SAP S/4 source Kafka connector using this:
https://github.com/SAP/kafka-connect-sap
But, I am not able to create an HDFS sink connector. The issue is related to pom file.
I have tried mvn clean package
.
But, I got this error:
ANSWER
Answered 2020-Aug-28 at 18:34I suggest you download existing Confluent Platform which includes HDFS Connect already
Otherwise, checkout a release version rather than only the master branch to build the project.
QUESTION
I was in the middle of installing Cognos Server (First time install) when Windows 10 unexpectedly restarted. Now, there is a cognos folder in the installation directory but I cannot uninstall it or delete it.
Using the Uninstall option in the cognos folder produces the following error:
This Application has Unexpectedly Quit Invocation of this Java Application has caused an Invocation TargetException. This application will now exit (LAX)
If I try to delete the cognos folder:
It says that some folder/file is open in another program. I have stopped all IBM and ApacheDS-cognos services. But still get this error while manually deleting the cognos folder.
What can I do to fix this and do the 'First Time Install' of cognos?
...ANSWER
Answered 2020-Jun-10 at 21:15Assuming that you did an Easy Install, then you should also check for Informix services running, stop them and then re-try deleting the folder. Check for processes running like cogbootstrap.exe and kill them, as well as any other processes running in that install directory and any JVMs.
QUESTION
I am trying to use the org.apache.directory.api
to create a connection to an LDAP service and query it as part of an Spark application. The Scala code for connecting and querying the LDAP works as intended when I use it as part of an Java application, but when executed as part of a Spark application it produces an error message like this:
ANSWER
Answered 2020-May-06 at 09:57I found a solution, it was due to the Spark dependency to an LDAP package that is a different version. I solved it by shading the needed Apache packages, like this:
QUESTION
We are in the process of implementing common client application for Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP and Apache DS. As part of our analysis below is the sample date formats from each LDAP server.
Microsoft Active Directory: Create Timestamp: 20200309090040.0Z
OpenLDAP: Create Timestamp: 20200303122535Z
ApacheDS: Create Timestamp: 20200224053308.405Z
We can see data formats changing between the LDAP servers. Could anyone help which format each server is following with appropriate pointer if any to handle all there servers in same code or same client.
...ANSWER
Answered 2020-Mar-16 at 14:50They all look like the same format, except AD and Apache have decimal places indicating fractions of a second.
The format is this:
QUESTION
a lil background story..:
In my company we are using IBM Cognos TM1 / IBM Cognos Analytics with BI Gateway for the authentification via SSO (we use a LDAP ApacheDS as Directory).
Since the restructure of the LDAP Directory, my shown username get weired long, its the whole entry DN with some special chars inside and my name, but not the UID (its clustered in a CN)
So the SSO is still working fine, now i started to sniff the traffic in the network and search the cookies for my user creditials, i found a SSO Cookie with a NEGOTIATE header string, is there a possiblity to decode this, so that i can see my username again which is send?
Thanks for the support
...ANSWER
Answered 2020-Jan-29 at 08:59is there a possiblity to decode this, so that i can see my username again which is send?
Not really (not easily).
The Negotiate header implies using Kerberos, NTLM or SPNEGO protocol (search for it). They are multi-step protocols and the values should be encrypted.
