QUESTION
If i search the same question on the internet, then i'll get only links to vscode website ans some blogs which implements it.
I want to know that is jsconfig.json
is specific to vscode
or javascript/webpack
?
What will happen if we deploy the application on AWS / Heroku, etc. Do we have to make change?
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Aug-06 at 04:10This is definitely specific to VSCode.
The presence of jsconfig.json file in a directory indicates that the directory is the root of a JavaScript Project. The jsconfig.json file specifies the root files and the options for the features provided by the JavaScript language service.
Check more details here: https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/languages/jsconfig
You don't need this file when deploy it on AWS/Heroku, basically, you can exclude this from your commit if you are using git repo, i.e., add jsconfig.json
in your .gitignore
, this will make your project IDE independent.

Answered 2022-Feb-13 at 17:35If you are upgrading your Laravel 8 project to Laravel 9 by importing your existing application code into a totally new Laravel 9 application skeleton, you may need to update your application's "trusted proxy" middleware.
Within your app/Http/Middleware/TrustProxies.php file, update use Fideloper\Proxy\TrustProxies as Middleware to use Illuminate\Http\Middleware\TrustProxies as Middleware.
Next, within app/Http/Middleware/TrustProxies.php, you should update the $headers property definition:
// Before...
protected $headers = Request::HEADER_X_FORWARDED_ALL;
// After...
QUESTION
I have been using github actions for quite sometime but today my deployments started failing. Below is the error from github action logs
...ANSWER
Answered 2022-Mar-16 at 07:01First, this error message is indeed expected on Jan. 11th, 2022.
See "Improving Git protocol security on GitHub".
January 11, 2022 Final brownout.
This is the full brownout period where we’ll temporarily stop accepting the deprecated key and signature types, ciphers, and MACs, and the unencrypted Git protocol.
This will help clients discover any lingering use of older keys or old URLs.
Second, check your package.json
dependencies for any git://
URL, as in this example, fixed in this PR.
As noted by Jörg W Mittag:
For GitHub Actions:There was a 4-month warning.
The entire Internet has been moving away from unauthenticated, unencrypted protocols for a decade, it's not like this is a huge surprise.Personally, I consider it less an "issue" and more "detecting unmaintained dependencies".
Plus, this is still only the brownout period, so the protocol will only be disabled for a short period of time, allowing developers to discover the problem.
The permanent shutdown is not until March 15th.
As in actions/checkout issue 14, you can add as a first step:
QUESTION
I've created a new Java project in IntelliJ with Gradle that uses Java 17. When running my app it has the error Cause: error: invalid source release: 17

My Settings
I've installed openjdk-17

The Project language level

In Modules -> Sources
I've set the Language level
to Project default (17 - Sealed types, always strict floating-point semantics)

In Modules -> Dependencies
I've set the Module SDK
to Project SDK openjdk-17
.
In Settings -> Build, Execution, Deployment -> Compiler -> Java Compiler
I've set the Project bytecode version
to 17

...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Oct-24 at 14:23The message typically entails that your JAVA_HOME environment variable points to a different Java version.
Here are the steps to follow:
- Close IntelliJ IDEA
- Open a terminal window and check your JAVA_HOME variable value:
- *nix system:
echo $JAVA_HOME
- Windows system:
echo %JAVA_HOME%
- *nix system:
- The JAVA_HOME path should be pointing to a different path, then set it to the openjdk-17 path:
- *nix system:
export JAVA_HOME=/path/to/openjdk-17
- Windows system:
set JAVA_HOME=path\to\openjdk-17
- *nix system:
- Open your project again in IntelliJ IDEA
- Make sure to set both source and target compatibility versions (not only the
sourceCompatibility
)
You should be able to build your project.
EDIT: Gradle ToolchainYou may need also to instruct Gradle to use a different JVM than the one it uses itself by setting the Java plugin toolchain to your target version:
QUESTION
I have been having a little bit of issues when deploying my create react app, as it fails to compile and tells me Plugin "react" was conflicted between "package.json » eslint-config-react-app »
I was wondering if somebody has encountered the same issue and knows how to solve it, thank you! I am still very new to all this.
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Dec-17 at 09:47There is a conflict in the casing
C:\Users\Ruben|desktop\reactapp\test.... whereas the nodemodules is looking for C:\Users\Ruben|Desktop\Reactapp\test....
This is a windows specific problem, and previously react would have run the app regardless of this difference. Not anymore it seems.
The solution I used was to locate the folder and open with code; that ensures that the path matches directly with what is stored in node modules

QUESTION
I've deployed hundreds of function and this is the first time I encounter this issue. Simply, it stops deploying function process, saying:
Unhandled error cleaning up build images. This could result in a small monthly bill if not corrected. You can attempt to delete these images by redeploying or you can delete them manually at https://console.cloud.google.com/gcr/images/[project-name]/us/gcf
The way I deploy is through Firebase CLI command: firebase deploy --only functions:nameOfFunction
Question is what are those images I have to delete? Why? How can I solve it?
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Aug-01 at 15:56Cloud Functions uses another product called Cloud Build to build the server images that actually get deployed. Those images are stored in Cloud Storage, and that storage is billed to your account.
Read more about it:
- https://github.com/firebase/firebase-tools/issues/3404
- https://krasimirtsonev.com/blog/article/firebase-gcp-saving-money
Watch:
You should be able to locate and delete the files manually in the Google Cloud console. But it sounds like there is a bug here with the files not being cleaned up automatically, so you contact Firebase support directly.

QUESTION
Both replica set and deployment have the attribute replica: 3
, what's the difference between deployment and replica set? Does deployment work via replica set under the hood?
configuration of deployment
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Oct-05 at 09:41A deployment is a higher abstraction that manages one or more replicasets to provide controlled rollout of a new version.
As long as you don't have a rollout in progress a deployment will result in a single replicaset with the replication factor managed by the deployment.
