QUESTION
WWDC21 introduces Swift 5.5, with async/await. Following the Explore structured concurrency in Swift and Meet async/await in Swift WWDC21 sessions, I'm trying to use the async let function.
Here's my Playground code:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-11 at 00:14My advice would be: don't try this in a playground. Playgrounds aren't ready for this stuff yet. Your code compiles and runs fine in a real project. Here's an example:
QUESTION
I am using express-session and express-mysql-session in my app to generate sessions and store them in mysql database. Sessions are stored in a table called sessions.
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 15:52The value that's stored on the client-side cookie consists of two parts:
- The actual session ID (
fiNdSdb2_K6qUB_j3OAqhGLEXdWpZkK4
in your example) - A server-generated HMAC signature of the session ID
eKUawMNIv7ZtXSweWyIEpfAUnfRd6/rPWr+PsjuGCVQ
. This is to ensure session ID integrity and does not need to be stored in the database. It's generated on the server-side byexpress-session
(which usesnode-cookie-signature
package internally) and using the passedsecret
parameter.
So the second part of the cookie name (after the dot) is used by express-session
to verify the first part and is stripped away afterward.
QUESTION
So I was really ripping my hair out why two different sessions of R with the same data were producing wildly different times to complete the same task.
After a lot of restarting R, cleaning out all my variables, and really running a clean R, I found the issue: the new data structure provided by vroom
and readr
is, for some reason, super sluggish on my script. Of course the easiest thing to solve this is to convert your data into a tibble as soon as you load it in. Or is there some other explanation, like poor coding praxis in my functions that can explain the sluggish behavior? Or, is this a bug with recent updates of these packages? If so and if someone is more experienced with reporting bugs to tidyverse, then here is a repex
showing the behavior cause I feel that this is out of my ballpark.
ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 14:37This is the issue I had in mind. These problems have been known to happen with vroom, rather than with the spec_tbl_df
class, which does not really do much.
vroom
does all sorts of things to try and speed reading up; AFAIK mostly by lazy reading. That's how you get all those different components when comparing the two datasets.
With vroom:
QUESTION
In my iOS app "Progression" there is rarely a crash (1 crash in ~1000+ Sessions) I am currently not able to fix. The message is
Progression: protocol witness for TrainingSetSessionManager.update(object:weight:reps:) in conformance TrainingSetSessionDataManager + 40
This crash points me to the following method:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 13:26While editing my initial question to add more context as Jay proposed I think it found the issue.
What probably happens? The view where the crash is, contains a table view. Each cell will be configured before being presented. I use a flag which holds the information, if the amount of weight for this cell (it is a strength workout app) has been initially set or is a change. When prepareForReuse is being called, this flag has not been reset. And that now means scrolling through the table view triggers a DB write for each reused cell, that leads to unnecessary writes to the db. Unnecessary, because the exact same number is already saved in the db.
My speculation: Scrolling fast could maybe lead to a race condition (I have read something about that issue with realm) and that maybe causes this weird crash, because there are multiple single writes initiated in a short time.
Solution: I now reset the flag on prepareForReuse to its initial value to prevent this misbehaviour.
The crash only happens when the cell is set up and the described behaviour happens. Therefor I'm quite confident I fixed the issue finally. Let's see. -- I was not able to reproduce the issue, but it also only happens pretty rare.
QUESTION
I am trying to build a cinema app with flutter. The structure is as follows:
- in each city there are a bunch of cinemas
- in a cinema there are a bunch of showrooms(salle in french)
- in a showroom(salle in french) there are five display sessions or projections, these projections are of the same film.
because the projections are of the same movie (a showroom displays the same movie in different time(e.g projections) by design), when I click on any of the projections in a showroom I should have the same posture of the same film, not a different posture in each projection.
However I get a different film posture in each projection, and I don't know what is causing this.
I am using a rest api that I created with Spring, and I am certain that the problem is not from my back-end because I am using it in an angular web app and it's working perfectly.
This is a layout of my application
this is what happened when I click on two projection of the same showroom( notice that the posture changes when it shouldn't.
and here is the code of the showroom page (salles-page.dart)

Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 11:53Problem related to back-end and have nothing to do with Flutter.
QUESTION
I am looking for some help concerning WordPress plugin development. My plugin queries an API which requires an Authentication Token, that token is fetched via a Token delivery APi. The token expire every 3600 seconds.
I would like to store the Token, in a persistent way (for all sessions , like server side caching) and update it only when needed. Multiple Api call could be done with the same token. The problem is, if I store the token in a global variable, it gets reset each time a user reload a page which uses my plugin. https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/89263/how-to-set-and-use-global-variables-or-why-not-to-use-them-at-all
After looking for answer I found:
-WP_CACHE , but it is not persistent.
-I know I can store the token in the Database, but a Token in Database is not a use case I found elegant
-Tool such as Redis Object Cache for PHP but I found it to be really complicated , installing etc...
Is there any good practice or easy way of doing this? I only need to keep a string for an hour and access it within the plugin in PHP.
Thank you.

To set a transient, you can use this code:
QUESTION
I have a table that has a start time and end time. I want to count the active game rooms per hour. I know I should have at least try solving this but I really don't know where to start or if is this even possible with SQL.
What I first did is to COUNT how many gameID there are in an hour using the start_time. But I'm sure I did not answer the 'active' per session question. What I did was to just COUNT how many has started a game per hour.
The expected result is something like this
DayHour
Time Active 6/14/2021 2000 4 6/15/2021 2100 4 6/16/2021 2200 2 6/15/2021 2100 2 6/16/2021 2200 1 6/17/2021 2300 1 6/16/2021 0 1 6/17/2021 1 1 6/18/2021 2000 1 6/19/2021 2100 1Or count of active sessions per hour without grouping by day.

I don't really know where the error is, for me, it's still a mystery. But I'm using Laravel 8 to produce a project, it was working perfectly and randomly started to return this error and all projects started to return this error too. Answered 2021-Jun-12 at 01:50Your problem is that you have set SESSION_CONNECTION=session
, but your SESSION_DRIVER=default
, so you have to use SESSION_DRIVER=database
