I try to upload a photo from React and save it in a public folder on the backend and then display the filename in the MySql database

After trying it through Postman, the photo has been successfully uploaded and appears and produces a json like this

Image is not an value, it's a file. So, in the onChange function you assigned the image.target.name as value

            Try like this :

Issue using || in my if statement with variable in php (variable unexpected)
            Asked 2020-Apr-13 at 08:49

I'm sure it's a stupid mistake, but i can not find what is wrong in my code. I have a simple page, where I can choose a test, and then settle it. I wanted that when we arrive on the page, if the variable $testType doesn't exists, we display test's choice. Once we click on the test we want, we are redirected to the same page, with the variable $testType. So we can settle our test. The 2 first tests have the same settle (Only the way to display the test change, what I do on a third page), so once i verified $testType exists, I would like to verify if($testType == "japTofr" || $testType == "frTojap") but it's not working :

First clean up your mess by doing this. instead of using if-elseif-else. go with the switch case method.

Why utf-8 encoded byte \xbd is formatted to unicode code point fffd in a for range loop?
            Asked 2019-Nov-22 at 11:35

This is an exercise from the Go blog. [Exercise: Put an invalid UTF-8 byte sequence into the string. (How?) What happens to the iterations of the loop?]

            And what I did is

            Answered 2019-Nov-22 at 11:00

This behavior is specified by Spec: For statements:

            For statements with range clause

For a string value, the "range" clause iterates over the Unicode code points in the string starting at byte index 0. On successive iterations, the index value will be the index of the first byte of successive UTF-8-encoded code points in the string, and the second value, of type rune, will be the value of the corresponding code point. If the iteration encounters an invalid UTF-8 sequence, the second value will be 0xFFFD, the Unicode replacement character, and the next iteration will advance a single byte in the string.

I am using laravel excel to upload a excel file. The file contains heading at the very top. However, when the heading is in Japanese it is not being processed properly.

I have solved the problem. The solution is to change in config/excel.php.

In that file find imports' => 'heading_row'.

Then change the formatter from slug to none.

            It worked flawlessly after that.

fixed hidden footer showing though background
            Asked 2018-Aug-02 at 14:42

this is my first post here.

I've got a small problem with the website I'm working on at the moment. Since I'm using a (css) parallax header I wanted to have a "special" footer as well.

The idea was to make it fixed to the bottom and let the body reveal the footer bottom first. The problem is that my website is made up of multiple segments and the footer is visible in between them.

I tried to fix this by creating a background between the segments like this

            ANSWER

            Answered 2018-Aug-02 at 14:40

You could define a white (?) background for .main and add a margin-bottom to .main whose value equals the height of the footer. That way the footer would only become visible after .main is scolled down all the way, in the space that is defined as its margin-bottom.

            Romanize generic Japanese in commandline
            Asked 2017-Dec-17 at 03:37

I would like to transliterate generic Japanese, including Kanji, by the standard Hepburn system on the bash command line.

            I've evaluated several options, but

            • Google Translator (available via Translate Shell) is only accurate at Hiragana / Katakana
            • KAKASI delivers ASCII, but no transliteration (so Toukyou instead of Tōkyō)

So I would like to parse the ouput of http://nihongo.j-talk.com The output is in div.outputwrap or div.output

If it's futile to do this purely with Bash tools (curl / jq?), how could I reach this with Python / BeautifulSoup?

Sorry for giving no snippet, I have no clue how to POST data to a website AND use the result if there is no API.

Taking a look of source html of http://nihongo.j-talk.com site, I've made a guess of API.
            Here are the steps:

            1) Send a Japanese string to the server by wget and obtain the result in index.html.
            2) Parse the index.html and extract Romaji strings.
