kandi X-RAY | linkcord Summary

linkcord is a JavaScript library typically used in Automation, Bot, Nodejs, Discord applications. linkcord has no bugs, it has no vulnerabilities, it has a Permissive License and it has low support. You can download it from GitHub.

Linkcord is a very basic Discord bot that I made for Discord Hack Week using Node.js along with discord.js and discord-akairo. It lets you link a text channel of your guild with a text channel of another, random guild that also wants to link one of its text channels. It will mirror messages, attachments, message edits and message deletion using webhooks, but will ignore messages sent by bots.

            QUESTION

Unable to use await in an if function
            Asked 2020-Feb-18 at 06:09

I am writing an application command so members of my server can apply for staff. I am trying to use my friends handler which provides an prompt function. I use await to make sure the question after doesn't execute before the one before it is resolved, but I am unable to use await within the if statement that I have.

I am getting an error Unexpected error: unexpected token call which obviously means something is extra or not supposed to be there.

How would I use await in this case to make sure the next prompt doesn't execute before its supposed to? Or if that is not possible, any suggestions would be great.

            The code is below

            Sorry its so messy
