            NODE.JS - Cannot find module '@hapi/boom'
            Asked 2020-Aug-20 at 10:47

I've been asked to create a super simple chatbot. I'm not a developer and I've never used node.js before. I found this simple demo on GitHub. I first ran npm install rcs-maap-bot as the main page says, pasted the code, ran it and I get this error. Online research said to move its missing index.js so I moved copied it a directory back and now I get this error: https://i.imgur.com/JcA3J3Q.png

I wasn't able to resolve it.

Does anyone know what's going on? Huge thanks ahead.

            QUESTION

            parameterized console character positioning
            Asked 2019-Apr-23 at 13:04

I'm not sure how to dynamically adjust characters in a function I'm using to write to a console where there are strict locations necessary in addition to dynamic scalability that you could get from 'format table', but I'm looking to do things a little differently so I can get away from needing an file.

I've put in a 2nd item on the list only for reference to see the context of the issue, I've found a way to draw an entire array or pull from a hash table with this method, but I'm trying to find a way to not need so many predefined character lists, etc. For instance, the two $top and $bot arrays, I'm aware that can be done with a couple of the suggestions that were listed... just not sure how to get the words to display in the format correctly, and if the characters exceed a certain threshhold, then it'd have the trailing dots, like format-table kind of does... Here's the context. It's a bit more verbatim to my actual code.

here's one way to do the centering. [grin] i am confident there are simpler, more direct methods ... but i can't think of any just now. [blush]

if you decide to use this, i recommend you convert it into a function that can be gracefully called by the part of your code that needs it.

my personal opinion is that this is ... a huge waste of time. every screen write slows down your script so it is usually worth while to reduce the number of screen writes, not increase them.
