CSS Custom text color based on background
            Asked 2022-Mar-10 at 03:28

Below is a screenshot of my current situation. Is it possible to make the text within the blob.svg white, and the text outside the blob.svg the color of the blob (#e60050)?

There is also a parallax effect on this particular element. The blob scrolls slower than the text. Therefore the text does not always overlap the blob in the same way/position. Based on the scrolling position, the text may even be completely within or without the blob.

I have been messing around with various implementations of mix-blend-mode now, but i can't seem to figure it out.

You need a couple of things to fix this behavior:

            1. Add enterAlways scroll flag to the CollapsingToolbarLayout: This enables the 'quick return' pattern which in your case allows the rounded background to show up when the CollapsingToolbarLayout starts to expand.

This is also clearly explained by the documentation here:

When entering (scrolling on screen) the view will scroll on any downwards scroll event, regardless of whether the scrolling view is also scrolling. This is commonly referred to as the 'quick return' pattern.

Now the scrolling flags should be: app:layout_scrollFlags="scroll|exitUntilCollapsed|enterAlways"

            1. Remove android:fitsSystemWindows="true" from the AppBarLayout: Leaving it will cause an issue of affecting the scrolling behaviour of the NestedScrollView when you try to scroll it up (i.e. to collapse the CollapsingToolbarLayout), the scrolling behaviour of the NestedScrollView won't be propagated to the CollapsingToolbarLayout leaving it in expanded state. So, you need to remove that.

Preview: I've changed the app:contentScrim color to be different than the NestedScrollView background in order to show up the behaviour:

The way to avoid this problem is to write the .hometext1 class style as you see fit in the blocks below. The test application is available at this link. You are having problems because the @media block you added continues to be applied when the page is minimized. Delete the @media block you added and apply the styles you expect when the page gets smaller, using the following structure.

How to use js to complete the effect of scrolling parallax?
            Asked 2022-Feb-19 at 08:09

I am a beginner in programming, and I want to complete an effect now! When the mouse scrolls down, the elements on the screen will follow the offset of the position, and when the mouse scrolls up again, the elements will also be offset to the original position. However, when the mouse is stopped, the position should not be continuously shifted to achieve a scrolling parallax effect.

But at present, the effect I am trying to accomplish is to give a fixed offset position duck.style.transform = 'translateY(100px)'; this will cause the element to move when the mouse is not scrolling. How can I fix this problem? ?

The desired effect is something like this URL example below https://codepen.io/hong-wei/pen/rNGbgKQ?editors=1010

Flutter Flame: how to use parallax with camera.followComponent?
            Asked 2022-Feb-16 at 19:16

Using Flutter Flame I'm trying to create a parallax background for a side scrolling game, where the camera focuses on the hero. I've only found examples of a constant speed scrolling parallax, but not one that respects the camera movement in the game world.

If I give a non zero baseVelocity to the parallax, it will keep scrolling even if the camera is not moving. If I set baseVelocity to zero, the parallax backgrounds will move as the camera moves, but the actual parallax effect is not visible (i.e. all layers just scroll uniformly as the camera moves).

Is there a setup where I can use camera.followComponent and the built-in ParallaxComponent so that the background layers will move with a parallax effect, when the camera follows the subject? Or do I have to implement my own parallax background that respects camera movements?

            This is what I've tried:

First you'll have to set the ParallaxComponent to not move the component itself with the camera (this was a bug from our side, it will be default in the next version).

You do this by setting positionType = PositionType.viewport; in the component (or override that field).

Now you can connect the camera.position to the baseVelocity of your parallax, something like this for example:

I found the reason for this issue, there is a problem with the build tool or bundle file that occurs when using the npm run build command.

now I am building the project with Webpack and there is no interruption but not full fixed.

also may be solved by changing the browserslist in package.json

            Answered 2022-Feb-05 at 16:21

The ParallaxComponent from Flame just wraps a Parallax object that controls everything. This class has a baseVelocity property that should always be set to the velocity of the player (in case the player can change velocities arbitrarily). If the player can only either move (with same speed) or stop, you can just set it to 0 or not 0.

You could wrap the CoordinatorLayout into a another ViewGroup and add the main Toolbar into this new root layout instead. This will avoid the confusion of the app:layout_collapseMode="pin" to the main toolbar.

So now the entire layout hierarchy would be:

Dragging elements with jQueryUI and with parallax effect
            Asked 2022-Feb-03 at 15:58

I have elements that I can drag around the container when the mouse is clicked using jQueryUI. I'd also like to to move the entire container as well but when I introduce the draggable, the first effect stops working.

Here it is with the first effect working (it works when you click the mouse and drag a bit) and once I introduce draggable with jQueryUI, I only have the draggable effect working.

Is there a way to have both effects working at the same time?

Well I just noticed that my code actually works, it's just that the first effect wasn't drastic enough to be noticed when the second one gets going, lol.

There are still some problems with it, such as when you click and drag for the second time, it starts from the previous position...

Anyway, if anyone needs this, just up the numbers on data-value and you'll have it going.

Have elements follow cursor while mousedown is active
            Asked 2022-Jan-18 at 19:30

I have several picture elements that follow mouse cursor on mousemove event. That script is quite simple and it works great, but I'd like it to run only while the mouse is pressed down so you have a feeling like you are dragging those elements around.

I've placed initial script into function and it's called when mousedown is active and you start dragging, but it's buggy. Right now when you press mouse and drag it won't start follow you until you stop dragging and then it starts and never stops.

Can somebody help me with this?

            Answered 2022-Jan-18 at 19:30

Your code is almost there, there's just two issues which need addressing.

Firstly, you need to know when the mouse is being held down and moving. The nested events are not the best way to do this and are actually causing issues. Similarly, binding/unbinding events at runtime becomes hard to maintain and leads to other issues.

The simplest way to do what you need to is to use a boolean variable to indicate if the mouse button is being held down. It gets set on mousedown, mouseup and other relevant events. You can then use this in the parallax() function to check if processing should continue.

The second issue is that because the img elements are rendered on top of everything else, and fill the full .container element, they intercept the mouse click/drag events. To stop this apply pointer-events: none to them in CSS.

With those corrections in place, the code works:
