Super class called Animal.
Dog and Cat class which both extends Animal class (a dog is an animal and a cat is an animal)
Dog and Cat class should only have 1 function, which is their own implementation of the sound() function. This is polymorphism

Since 2015 there should be no more need to go through the pain of assigning prototype properties like that, and establish inheritance between two classes with such assignments.

I would suggest rewriting your code completely, and using the class syntax, where you don't need to explicitly do this inheritance fiddling with the prototype property:

Query to Find Adjacent Records in Access 2016

I have a table with a field called Result that contains values that can be anywhere between 1 and 100.

The table also contains a Date/Time field and is sorted from oldest to newest.

I want to be able to return adjacent records that have a Result of less than 3.

So, I need to first find a record with a Result that is less than 3 then check if the next records also have a Result of less than 3. If they do these records should be returned.

There may be no such adjacent records or there may be multiple records that meet this criteria.

Is this possible?

I've put together a short piece of code that loops the original data, ordered by the date field, and if it finds a result of less than 3, checks the following results until one of them is 3 or more. It adds all of the ID fields to a string, which can then be used as the SQL for a query.

You may be confusing fit_transform() with fit(). fit_transform() learns the vocabulary dictionary and then converts it into a document-term matrix. So you're getting a matrix not a dictionary. fit_transform is the same as running fit followed by a transform. So if you're looking for a dictionary, just use fit()

How can I make XmlSerializer Deserialize tell me about typos on tag names

I know that most of the time, the Deserialize method of XmlSerializer will complain if there's something wrong (for example, if there is a typo). However, I've found an example where it doesn't complain, when I would have expected it to; and I'd like to know if there's a way of being told about the problem.

The example code below contains 3 things: an good example which works as expected, and example which would complain (commented out) and an example which does not complain, which is the one I want to know how to tell that there is something wrong.

Note: I appreciate that one possible route would be XSD validation; but that really feels like a sledgehammer to crack what seems like a simpler problem. For example, if I was writing a deserializer which had unexpected data that it didn't know what to do with, I'd make my code complain about it.

I've used NUnit (NuGet package) for assertions; but you don't really need it, just comment out the Assert lines - you can see what I'm expecting.

I am trying to learn how to use functions to make my code easier to read and to recall. I am practicing on a function that is expected to subset my data with filter() (according to one of the function argument), keeping only part of the columns of the data I feed to the function with select() and plot the trend of an index over time with ggplot() + geom_line().

I found several related questions, but I could not solve the problem with any of them. I think my issue relates to the way I include the arguments within the function itself. Since I am quite new to writing functions in R (and, to some extent, to R itself), I would like to understand what I am missing.

It's great that you provide data with your question. However, i'm having a hard time understanding what your variables mean as I dont speak Italien. I can see a few things going wrong in the code however. For instance, you need a special {{ }} symbol to make functions with dplyr and ggplot2. See the links below. I have som sample code that you can look at or emulate. Good luck!

The recyclerView is not showing when I run the app

the mock data in the layout section is showing alright. It is when I run the app no data is flowing into the recycler view. I'd appreciate it if you could take a look at my code below.

In your list item layout, you have the text color as white as well as the RecyclerView background is white. Because of that, the text will not be visible and you are getting a blank screen.
