Read in Column Names and Element Type into R Studio with a .SAS file?
            Asked 2020-Jun-21 at 04:30

I have R Studio and data that came in a .CSV file. There is variable information including data element label, type, number of digits, etc. that has been provided in a .SAS as well as a .do file. I understand these correspond to either SAS or STATA. These are all (.csv, .sas, .do) in a single folder on my desktop.

While it is straightforward to import the .csv file on its own:

Without access to your file, it's hard for us to replicate, but haven::read_sas() has worked for most SAS files I've had to use:

Something may happen if the score rolls over. the game either hangs or stop. Some sort of problem with score reset. Something may happen if you get 10 QIXs on the screen. The first two bugs where briefly mention by William King sometime around '83 after he had been beta testing (playing) all night. He never elaborated on the bugs or fixed them. He is the only person I know who managed to roll over the score or get 10 QIXs on the screen. Any additional ones that are found please have a go at fixing them or tell me about them. I'll see what I can do. Note that is fairly simple to alter the configuration of the game. I had plans for a new version where this is possible (ie. number of men to start, number of QIXES to start, number of SPARXES, speed adjust). Anthony C. Howe achowe@snert.com.
